1. Choose a location for the lamp: a flat and stable surface, away from heat sources, and out of reach of children and pets.
2. Using a funnel, fill the lamp's body two-thirds full with a liquid suitable for catalytic lamps. The liquid can be neutral or scented, and you can mix them to achieve a milder fragrance. After filling, clean up any spilled liquid from the lamp and its surface.
3. Insert the burner, ensuring the wick touches the liquid and the stone is properly positioned above the metal base. If this is the first time using the burner, cover the stone with the cap (to prevent the fragrance from evaporating) and let the wick soak for 20 minutes.
4. Remove the cap, light the burner with a lighter, and let the flame burn for two minutes. The flame should reach about 7 to 10 cm (3 to 4 inches). Do not leave the lamp unattended during this time and never touch the stone while it's burning.
5. Blow out the flame and only when it's completely extinguished, cover the stone with the protective crown. The stone will be hot, so avoid touching it. Your lamp is now functioning.
6. Allow the lamp to purify the air for about 20 minutes in a space of approximately 10 square meters.
7. To stop the lamp, carefully remove the crown (it may be warm) and cover the hot stone with the metal cap to prevent further burning and evaporation of the fragrance.
8. To prepare for the next use, leave the cap and crown on the metal base of the lamp.
