Hold the brush with the bristles facing downward under lukewarm running water. Gently squeeze out any remaining makeup and excess water from the bristles.

For natural bristles, place a teaspoon of olive oil and a small amount of mild soap (about the size of a dime) onto your palm, or apply directly to the wet bristles to help remove makeup residue.

Massage the bristles in the soapy mixture on your palm, allowing the water to flow through the bristles. Move the brush in gentle circular motions.

Once the water running through the bristles is clear, turn off the water. Ensure that you do not submerge the bristles or wet the handle.

Use a towel to gently blot away any excess water from the brush. Allow the brush to air dry naturally.
