  • The IBD Building Gel Top Coat is designed for strengthening soft, brittle nails, enhancing their durability, and can also be used for sculpting on tips/forms or repairing damaged nails. This structural gel smooths out the nail plate without discoloring it or causing a burning sensation during curing in the lamp.

This gel maintains its shape and gloss for up to two weeks, does not weigh down the nail plate, and does not exert pressure on the natural nail. It cures under LED and UV devices.

  • Applying .ibd. Structural Gels:

    Preparation for Application:

    1. Gently push back the cuticle using a pusher.
    2. Remove pterygium from the nail plate.
    3. Remove the shine from the nail plate using an Emerald file (180 grit).
    4. Remove dust from the nail plate with a manicure brush.
    5. Apply a dehydrator to cleanse the nail plate.

    Modeling Artificial Nails on Forms:

    1. Apply PowerBond to the nail plate, avoiding contact with the surrounding skin.
    2. Place the forms for modeling.
    3. Model the free edge using structural gel and cure in the lamp for 10 seconds.
    4. Model the artificial nail on the natural nail plate. Do NOT cure. Drag a drop of gel to the center of the nail plate and allow it to self-level. Cure for 10 seconds in the lamp. Repeat as necessary to build the arch and stress zones of the nail.
    5. Repeat step 4 for the remaining nails and cure them all for 30 seconds in an LED lamp or 1 minute in a UV lamp.
    6. Remove the forms and the sticky layer using Cleanser Plus and lint-free wipes.
    7. Shape the nails using an Emerald file (180 grit) and remove dust with a manicure brush.
    8. Apply a top coat for structural gels or Intense Seal.
    9. Apply the desired color of JustGel Polish in 2 layers, curing each layer for 30 seconds in an LED lamp or 2 minutes in a UV lamp. Apply a gel polish top coat and cure for 30 seconds in an LED lamp or 2 minutes in a UV lamp. Remove the sticky layer using Cleanser Plus.
    10. Moisturize the cuticle with Lavender Cuticle Oil.

*To apply without modeling the free edge, skip steps 2 and 3.

Prepare the natural nail as described above.

    2. Remove dust with a manicure brush.
    3. Apply PowerBond to the nail plate, avoiding contact with the surrounding skin.
    4. Model the artificial nail on the natural nail plate. Do NOT cure. Drag a drop of gel to the center of the nail plate and allow it to self-level. Cure for 10 seconds in the lamp. Repeat as necessary to build the arch and stress zones of the nail.
