Every skincare routine begins with a thorough cleansing, and skin with imperfections requires special attention. Experts at the Korean brand Mary & May have specifically developed a cleansing foam for problematic skin that helps wash away all impurities, soothe the epidermis, and prevent new irritations. Its formula contains a carefully selected concentration of Houttuynia Cordata and Tea Tree extracts, which aid in reducing inflammation and deeply cleansing the pores, leaving a feeling of complete comfort and hydration. Lauryl Hydroxysultaine is a very mild co-surfactant for foaming products. It acts as a thickener, enhancing the foam-forming capability even in hard water.
Features of Mary & May Houttuynia Cordata+Tea Tree Cleansing Foam:

Create a rich lather by mixing a small amount of cleanser with water. Apply the lather to your damp face and neck. Gently massage your skin to cleanse it, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow up with the next steps of your skincare routine: toner, serum, emulsion, or cream.
The foam is amazing! I have been using it for a few days and there are already visible results. Its scent is similar to the whole line for problematic skin - it smells bitter, like stagnant aloe. You only need a small pea-sized amount to wash your entire face, so the usage is minimal. It also seems to slightly lighten the complexion. All of my breakouts have calmed down a bit and are now less noticeable.
I received a sample of the foam from a different website and I would like to share my impressions of this product. I haven't had a chance to fully understand it yet, but the scent is a bit strong and may cause allergies. The comment below perfectly describes this fragrance as herbal, smelling like cheap soap that hits your nose. Since this fragrance is applied to the face and lingers for a long time even after applying toner and cream, allergy symptoms (runny nose) and sleepless nights are guaranteed. My reaction is individual, but I still want to warn those with a sensitive sense of smell.
I agree with the previous review - this foam cleanser is fantastic. I have porous, prone to breakouts, and oily skin. Since I use tretinoin, my skin is very sensitive and irritated in certain areas. I was looking for a gentle cleanser and delicate product. And oh my, I finally found it. The foam is white and has a light pleasant scent, I can't compare it to anything, it's not quite herbal, but it smells like something botanical and sweet. The scent is very subtle and won't irritate. Here is my recommended method of use for very sensitive skin under the influence of retinoids:
1. Use hydrophilic oil to remove makeup from your face. Massage it for about 4 minutes on your face, then rinse it off.
2. It is preferable to foam the cleanser with a special net, so the foam will delicately and gently cleanse your skin without any sign of dryness. If not foamed, the skin will feel slightly tight. I massage the foam on my face for about 2 minutes. Then I rinse it off and rinse my face with very cold water for 1 minute - try it, the effect is amazing.
3. After that, I apply toner by pouring it into my palms and patting it onto my face. If there is not enough hydration, you can repeat the toner application as much as you want.
4. I apply serum. I only use serum because after all these steps, my face feels soft, moisturized, and looks healthy. If there is not enough hydration, I recommend applying moisturizer after the serum.
I have been using this brand's skincare routine (foam cleanser, toner, serum) for a week now and I haven't missed a single step mentioned above. And let me tell you, my skin is 100 times better than it was after months of unknown skincare routines. I cleanse regularly in the evening, and in the morning, I do the same routine without the hydrophilic oil. Give it a try! I wish everyone healthy and beautiful skin!)
Wonderful foam, definitely worth every penny. I have sensitive skin and used to use La Roche gel, which dried out my skin, poorly cleansed, and caused even more inflammation. I've been using this foam for three days now, and the effect is already noticeable. It cleanses the skin thoroughly without drying it out, soothes inflammation, and I plan to order the cream, tonic, and serum from this line as well. This is my first experience with a Korean product, and I'm thrilled!
