Before the Weleda lotion, I purchased the oil from the same brand. The oil was quickly absorbed, while the lotion applies well, but leaves a sticky feeling on the skin until you take a shower next time.
It's hard to say if it works because I don't know how my skin would react to pregnancy without it, but it provides enough moisture and there is no feeling of tightness.
Absolutely non-functioning battery. Every day, even several times a day, I charged it from the 4th month - still useless!! Just a pile of stretch marks.
It fulfills its purpose. However, it does not absorb well into the skin, requiring a long time to be applied. Afterwards, the stomach feels sticky because of it.
I love this cream. The scent, consistency, and feeling during and after application are all great! I do wish it came with a spatula so I wouldn't have to wash it off from under my nails. That's why I use the spatula that came with the eye patches. I only apply it at night and it lasts me about a month. Overall, this is now one of my favorite skincare routines.
Well, probably out of all the skincare products, this one is the worst. Firstly, you should keep in mind that it is just a regular butter in terms of consistency - yes, it absorbs, but it feels very greasy to the touch, you want to wash it off immediately after applying it, the consistency is very heavy. Strangely, it didn't come with any spatula or spoon, although they clearly should have provided one, constantly digging it out with your fingers is not very pleasant, especially if you have nails (it's a whole separate pleasure to clean them afterwards).
Secondly, something that I really didn't like is the smell. In principle, there is nothing critical about it, but it's like a mixture of a pharmacy and the scent of aroma oils, when you enter a room after using it, there is this pharmacy aroma left, the smell is very persistent, it lingers on the skin for a long time, I don't understand why they couldn't make the smell at least pleasant... at the very least.
Thirdly, the butter is not at all economical. If you plan to use it twice a day, don't be surprised that the jar will run out in a couple of weeks, and if you actively apply it... As for the positives, I can only say one thing - it really absorbs quite quickly, literally within 10 minutes. But there are many similar products that don't smell as bad and have the same properties. Most of the money was probably invested in the glass jar, I suspect that's why this butter is so expensive, because I haven't found any particular advantages other than absorption.
In general, I'm more inclined to not recommend it than recommend it...
It is not the first time that I choose Weleda products! I have been using this butter after pregnancy (during pregnancy, I chose Weleda oil) and I am more than satisfied with the results! It is lightweight, without strong smells, and absorbs well. I genuinely recommend it to all pregnant women! I also chose Weleda products for my child (the bathing product with calendula) and it is incredible! Thank you, Weleda, for the quality, affordability, and wide range of products for the whole family!
Great battery! I used it with oil and I liked the texture of the bread more. It is also economical. I recommend it for pregnant women.
I have been using this company's butter and oil throughout my entire pregnancy. I am very satisfied with the results. My skin is moisturized and fragrant. I highly recommend it.
I don't know about stretch mark prevention yet, so I can't judge, but this cream is great: it absorbs quickly if applied to the skin after a shower and has a pleasant consistency - it's actually a butter. It smells nice and not too strong, BUT this scent doesn't dissipate quickly from the skin. Those with morning sickness probably won't be able to use it (you literally walk around smelling like it for a few hours).
I hope I can return to using this cream in the second trimester because it's really pleasant. It's strange to make specialized cosmetics for pregnant women scented.
But for now, the best thing I've found is the emollient and milk by Tropikrem, these products moisturize without any smell.
You can buy it to reassure yourself that you are doing something to prevent stretch marks. There are many stretch marks on the chest, but none on the stomach, as it was with my mother, so it is purely a genetic predisposition.
Neither the oil nor the lotion helped, and I ended up with a few stretch marks (but I had a large belly because I was carrying twins). However, I continue to use it because I simply like it.
It didn't help me at all, neither the butter nor the oil (this is all individual, and cosmetic products may not always be effective, so if you have stretch marks, don't waste money on expensive items).
This cream is very thick! I applied the cream at night specifically because it's not pleasant to feel sticky during the day. I applied it twice and stuck to the bed, so I didn't apply it again. It's also difficult to spread because it's very dense.
I started using the stretch mark oil regularly from around week 15. By week 30/31, the stretch marks did start appearing. I added the stretch mark butter to my routine in hopes that it would help at least a little bit. The skin feels moisturized after using the butter. I like that it has a natural composition.
I have been using both the oil and the cream for 5 months. I have already used 7 jars of the oil and this is my third time ordering the cream. I am not a big woman by size, but I do take care of myself a lot. I apply the products 3-4 times a day. The cream is convenient when I need it to absorb quickly.
Stretch marks did appear in some areas. And yes, there are quite a few. So, it depends on many factors whether they will appear or not. But I will continue using the products even after giving birth. I enjoy this ritual, the scents of the oils, and maybe the stretch marks will become less noticeable.
Cool thing! Perfect for summer! It absorbs quickly into the skin. Before this, I bought oil from this brand, also great.
Pleasant scent, gentle texture! I have just started using it, so it's too early to talk about its effectiveness, but my first impression is very pleasant.
I really liked the body butter. It absorbs well into my skin without leaving a sticky film. The ingredients, as always with Weleda, are perfectly organic and suitable for pregnant women. It is easy to apply and nourishes the skin, making it more elastic with each use. The scent is nice, especially for me. I haven't had any stretch marks yet at 32 weeks, so I'm satisfied with this cream and will definitely try the baby products.
The product description is missing on the website, so I assumed it would be similar to oil. However, it turned out that it contains extract of Asian centella stems. It is believed that this ingredient could have a harmful effect on the fetus. It was my carelessness for not finding the composition in advance, but please add a description on the website.
The delivery of the makeup was as always fast and of good quality.
I have been using Weleda Mama butter and liquid oil since the 7th month of my pregnancy. Before that, from around the second half of the 3rd month, I used oil and cream from the Mustela brand. By the ninth month, I had run out of the liquid oil, so now I only use the butter. I prefer the Weleda brand, as the scent is light and both the liquid oil and butter absorb well into the skin. You just need to gently massage it into the skin to avoid any stains on clothing. I definitely find it better to apply the filtered butter/oil from the jar rather than just any other oil, but that's just my personal preference. The manufacturer has already thought of everything for our convenience, including a sturdy glass packaging (with a convenient dispenser). After use, my skin feels smooth and moisturized. I apply it in the morning, evening, and often again throughout the day. I am currently in the 37th week, and my skin is in great condition. When my belly itches, applying the product immediately brings relief. I hope everything will continue to be good at the 40th week, and I will update my review if anything changes. I have gained 11.5kg in weight. Just for reference, I am 34 years old, but younger girls can also be prone to stretch marks.
