Before coming here to read reviews, no one would explain how to deal with it in the stores. After those 8 attempts of "activation" of the formula, nothing changed: the mascara clumped my lashes together and left a pile of clumps. I definitely do not recommend this mascara to anyone and I will not buy it myself anymore.
I also tried it, but I didn't buy it here because I wanted it in a luxurious blue color. It's a pity that they don't have the full palette available here. Thank you for the comments where it's mentioned how to activate it (twist the brush 8 times and dip it in). In short, I liked the mascara, I would give it 4 stars. If compared to the classic Hypnose, this one falls slightly behind. I'm adding one star for the color; I'm dreaming of a sapphire shade and hoping it will appear on Makeupi soon.
The mascara is fantastic. I have very short and light eyelashes. The brush separates each hair, adds length and volume. It dries quickly and doesn't flake. I highly recommend it, rating it 5 stars.
This is definitely one of the worst mascaras I have ever had. It started drying out after two weeks of purchase, and it only applies huge clumps to the lashes. The only positive thing about this mascara is the beautiful tube, but it is also inconvenient as the product starts coming out if you dip the brush more than three times. The brush accumulates a lot of product.
I'm glad I ordered this product without reading the reviews, otherwise I might not have gotten it. I don't understand why there are negative reviews. I really liked this mascara, actually, I liked it a lot. The texture is excellent, it feels fresh, it applies well, it lasts a long time, it doesn't flake or smudge. I have no complaints. I have tried different Lancome mascaras before. This one is just as good, definitely not worse and definitely better than Idol. However, I always apply it on a base. The brush is a little inconvenient, I used to have the Hypnose Doll, which was more refined towards the end, but I'll get used to it.
This is absolutely terrible! The worst mascara I have ever tried. I bought it in Europe, and it's a disaster. After only six months, it has almost completely dried up.

There is a lot of negativity in the reviews. First, it is important to understand that this is a medicinal mascara! "All in one" does not exist. If you want to know what an "awful mascara" is, then buy Idol :) It is truly awful; it flakes, causes irritation, does not provide volume, and even makes eyelashes fall out after use! My sister decided to try Idol. She lasted three days with it. I thought that maybe the mascara just didn't suit her and started using it myself... Now I am waiting for a discount on Le 8 Hypnose to restore my lashes after using Idol!
This is the disappointment of the year! You won't find such a bad mascara anywhere. What happened to Lancome? The mascara doesn't paint the lashes. You need a minimum of three coats just to see a hint of it. And on top of that, it easily washes off. Is this what they were aiming for? To have it wash off? Not to paint, not to volumize, not to last, but simply to wash off?
Worst mascara ever. No amount of dipping the brush in the tube makes it work. It requires multiple layers (10+), just to see any effect. Within an hour, it almost completely flakes off. I deeply regret not reading the latest reviews before ordering it.

This mascara is not good at all. I have tried it 8 times and more. It is dry, thick, and crumbles a lot. It applies decently, but it doesn't define or curl well. Considering the price, I expected a "wow" effect, but it's not there. I have bought other mascaras that are much better, as they define, hold, and give a "wow" effect by curling the lashes. This particular one is not to my liking. Maybe there are other great ones out there.

Dry, dull, barely visible on the eyes. It does not live up to its price at all.
Overall, I like it. However, it is not suitable for those who like a lot of mascara on their lashes. It is barely visible, so the lashes look as natural as possible. I'm surprised that people write about dryness and fallout. Everything is fine with mine. When I bought it, the consultant explained that the mascara is more of a treatment, with vitamins and amino acids. It needs to be activated, meaning when you open it for the first time, you should slowly pull the brush out 8 times.
I bought this product in Spain during the summer when we didn't have it yet. Before that, I used Lancome Hypnose, which is a great mascara. Compared to that one, this mascara is just awful, it's a waste of money. It doesn't give any volume, it just coats the lashes, and no matter how many layers you apply, it won't get any better. The packaging is beautiful, but the quality is poor. I saw that there is now a set available with a base, maybe the base will save the situation because the mascara alone is not good at all.
