L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Resurfacing Gel Wash For Glowy Skin with Glycolic acid is a gentle exfoliating solution designed for subtle rejuvenation. It delicately removes dead skin cells without causing irritation. The thick gel texture lathers well and gently cleanses the face. Its formula is enriched with Glycolic acid and other active ingredients, improving skin’s elasticity, hydrating, smoothing, and leaving it soft and velvety to the touch.
Benefits of L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Resurfacing Gel Wash For Glowy Skin:
- contains 3.5% Glycolic acid that penetrates the skin to stimulate collagen synthesis, enhancing skin’s firmness and elasticity;
- Salicylic acid has a powerful antibacterial effect, gently exfoliates dead skin cells, and accelerates skin regeneration;
- Aloe Vera Leaf extract has a calming effect, reducing inflammation, irritation, and redness;
- Menthol provides a pleasant cooling sensation to the face, speeds up fluid microcirculation, and reduces puffiness;
- Citric acid lightens pigmentation spots, evens out skin tone, and ensures a natural, healthy glow.-
Apply a small amount to damp face skin in the morning and evening using massaging motions, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with water. If the product gets into eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
I didn't buy it here, but in my opinion, it is very, very suitable for combination skin of mature age. It removes makeup excellently, foams excellently, and there is no feeling of tightness after washing.
I bought this peeling gel based on the recommendation of an American blogger-dermatologist as a budget-friendly anti-aging cleanser. I specifically wanted glycolic acid because, besides exfoliation, it is capable of penetrating deep into the skin and stimulating collagen synthesis due to its small molecule size (of course, a cleanser cannot be the main anti-aging product, but it's great when it also has beneficial active ingredients).
Overall, I really liked this product. I have combination skin (mostly normal, cheeks tend to be dry, T-zone tends to be oily), without breakouts, but there are areas prone to redness.
I use the peeling gel twice a week (not every day). After using it, I feel refreshed and my skin feels smooth to the touch, but there is no feeling of tightness or "squeaky clean" (which is good, it means it doesn't damage the protective barrier).
The gel is transparent and thick. It is very economical to use, a small amount is enough - it foams well if you add enough water (it foams better in your hands, not as much on the facial skin).
If you apply the gel as it is, directly on wet skin, and leave it on for a few minutes - it has a stronger exfoliating and tingling effect.
If you foam it well in your hands and quickly rinse it off after application - it is gentler and softer.
I don't like that it contains menthol, which gives a slight cooling effect (some people may like it). It was especially noticeable at the beginning of use, but now my skin has gotten used to it. If there was a formula without menthol, I would buy it. Be careful if you have sensitivity to this ingredient.
Also, if you have sensitive skin but still want to use active products like this one, but are afraid of irritation/flaking in sensitive areas - you can protect them with a thick layer of cream or petroleum jelly before applying the peeling gel - usually, it's the skin around the mouth, eyes, and nostrils.
That's it. I hope this review will be helpful.
I really love products from this brand, and I have been using them for a long time. However, this particular face wash gel did not work for me. I did not feel any freshness after using it. I actually prefer the lotus face wash gel called "ultimate freshness" much more.
