Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. First, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Fold the cup using one of the various folding methods available; try different ones to find the method that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. The cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it has been correctly positioned. If unsure, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice any dents or folds, the cup has not fully opened. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and attempt to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once inserted, try pulling slightly on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is in place, and the cup is successfully positioned!
