Wash your hands and get into a comfortable position. Insert the folded menstrual cup and once the entire cup (and stem) is inside of you, remove your fingers and let it open up.
Unfortunately, I didn't get along with this cup. It was my first cup.
Pros: It does its job - collects blood and doesn't leak if inserted correctly. The silicone is of good quality, pleasant to touch, and smooth.
Cons: At first, it was difficult to insert correctly - it wouldn't open up. Luckily, I found a couple of secrets on YouTube from those who already use it. I tried them, and it opened up. Once it opened up, it started putting pressure on my bladder. I inserted it deeper, and I felt pain in my ovaries and lower back. I thought it was because of my period, as I sometimes experience this. I used a regular pad overnight, and the pain went away. In the morning, I went back to the cup, and the same sensations returned. It is uncomfortable, although it doesn't feel like something is inserted.
I think it might not be the right size for me, even though it says "one size." And I have given birth twice, if that matters. For now, I have returned to using pads.
