Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Start by thoroughly washing your hands with soap. Fold the cup. There are different folding techniques you can try to find the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and let it expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating that it is properly positioned. If unsure, feel the base of the cup - it should be round or oval when inserted correctly. If you feel dents or creases, it means the cup hasn't opened fully. Gently grip the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once it's in place, try pulling slightly on the stem. If you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully installed!
