I was intrigued by this fragrance and really wanted to test it out. Unfortunately, there was no sample available, so I bought a decant. It is very floral and spring-like. On me, it has a scent of lilacs or acacias, I haven't quite figured it out yet. I always perceive it differently. Perhaps it's the individual components of the fragrance pyramid that give it such a unique and mood-dependent sound.
The color of the bottle perfectly matches its contents. Although, at first, you may sense a slightly bitter and sharp note of spices. But it doesn't last long. The opening transitions into a dense, voluminous aroma where jasmine dominates, but it's not a straightforward jasmine. It's a warm scent, somewhat lactonic, definitely not prickly or loud. And, of course, the Amouage ambergris base does everything to make you fall in love with this creation completely.
The fragrance is rich, not superficial, so I see it suitable for any season. Honestly, I haven't encountered any freshness in Amouage yet :). In my opinion, this brand is deeper in its concept. It's more like balms rather than cheerful fragrances that you just spray and go. It's complex.
By the way, someone compared Ashore to Alien. Not at all. To me, Alien is a poisonous jasmine. But in this bottle, there is a delicate flower soaked in a milky-sweet syrup with light spices and sticky amber. Perhaps, it's the most beautiful jasmine I've ever experienced.
I love Amouage. I bought it based on the description because I really wanted a jasmine perfume. And I got exactly that. It is a bright, fresh, and delicate jasmine scent. Perfect for spring and summer.
