The Ordinary Resveratrol Serum 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is an effective remedy formulated specifically for ageing skin. It is aimed at reducing the visible signs of premature ageing such as dullness, dryness, and loss of firmness. The serum is protecting your skin from damaging external impact as well, preventing fine lines, age spots, and redness.
The powerful antioxidant Resveratrol protects the skin from UV photodamage. And another key ingredient is Ferulic acid, a phytochemical compound found in plant cells, that stimulates natural Collagen synthesis, making the skin look supple and rejuvenated. Its anti-inflammatory effect copes with acne and other blemishes such as rosacea or eczema. The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is a powerful soothing serum that improves skin firmness.

This serum is quite aggressive. It has an oily base. When applied, it raises the skin's temperature, causing sweat droplets and a blush to appear. It did not dry out my combination skin. I apply it in a small amount once or twice a week in the evening, as a kind of shock therapy to stimulate facial blood circulation.
I also added Vitamin C powder. I tried it during the cold season and it left greasy droplets on my face. I stopped using it. Then, I decided to give it another try during the summer, but got the same result. I had to wipe it off with a tissue.
I have been using a serum with resveratrol and ferulic acid, and I add vitamin C powder to it. I can't say if this product fulfills all its promises. I use it before bed and seal it with a regular moisturizing cream from The Ordinary (and in the morning, I use niacinamide and seal it with an SPF cream, also from The Ordinary). The consistency of the serum is oily, and the vitamin C dissolves quickly in it. Personally, I have no problems or inconveniences when mixing it on clean hands. It absorbs quickly into the skin. It may seem like my skin should be oily in the morning, but it becomes matte, radiant, and even-toned. I have been testing it for more than three months.
I have also noticed a big advantage for those who occasionally have isolated breakouts or before their menstrual cycle. With the serum and vitamin C, they disappear without having the chance to mature or leave red marks, unlike salicylic acid.
The need for foundation or powder has disappeared, and I only need regular sunscreen after my basic skincare routine.
I will definitely continue to use it.
It didn't work for me. I gave it many chances.
The first month of use was okay. It was oily, with a slightly specific smell, and it tingled a bit at first, but then SPF and makeup went on beautifully. The skin felt moisturized and somewhat glowing. But from the second month, red patches started appearing on my cheeks, not immediately, but about an hour after applying. I have mature (43 years old), combination skin. I took antihistamines, changed toners (tried both with actives and neutral ones), but no, this product is not for me. I don't really want to go to work with a red face.
I read on the internet that ferulic acid can cause a similar reaction, but I couldn't find any information about whether this is normal or not.
The serum is quite aggressive and does not react well to rosacea, so I use it on my forehead, under my eyes, neck, and décolletage. It is quite economical to use, with an oily texture that sometimes absorbs quickly and other times leaves a greasy shine. I haven't noticed any positive results from using it, but I have hope for its antioxidant effects.
I have been buying this product for the third time already. The effect is amazing - my skin looks radiant, illuminated, and delicate in the morning, and any breakouts disappear faster. It also applies well under makeup.
This is my first time ordering a facial serum, and I didn't like it at all. I don't see any benefits for myself, and half of the jar is just sitting there.
I think this is the first time my skin has ever felt so dry... I am very disappointed and frustrated(((
After 2.5 months of testing, it's time to leave a review, although I could have done it earlier! My face has never suffered this much before. The composition clearly doesn't suit me, it feels like acids are burning my face. I'm 30 years old, with combination skin. A year ago, it became sensitive to new products, with occasional breakouts and redness, but they quickly disappeared and I continued using the products without any issues. But not this time! I wanted to try a professional product with a more serious composition for my age. I applied the serum at night and sealed it with a little bit of cream. When I woke up, I was shocked! My skin was dry everywhere. I moisturized it with cream three times a day for about three weeks, but even that didn't help. In general, I tried different ways with this serum. Sometimes it worked fine and my complexion improved, and my breakouts dried up, and the inflammation gradually disappeared. It was normal for a couple of days, but then it worsened again. Now I have red, dry patches below my eyes. That's it, it's time to stop using it frequently. It's sad because I had high hopes, but it was in vain, even though I had already read negative reviews here.
The basic skincare product works fine, but it won't help with problem skin. I believe that the price is too high.
The product is oily, but it absorbs well. There were no reactions. I have oily skin, but there is no shine or film on the skin after use.
I apply it to my skin after washing my face and give myself a facial massage. Then I apply moisturizer. Everything is great. The skin feels very soft. I am satisfied. I can't write about the lifting effect yet, as I have only used it a few times.
I have been using this serum for about 2 weeks now. During the first use, my face felt a slight tingling sensation, but it didn't happen again the next time. My skin has become smoother and my complexion looks more radiant. I apply it with a roller, and I believe it will last for at least six months, or maybe even longer.
I did not like this product. It leaves a greasy film on my face and is poorly absorbed by the skin. It has a specific smell. It did not cause any irritation or allergies. It is too early to talk about the effectiveness. I will see later.
Wonderful serum. I also add vitamin C powder to it. I have normal skin type, I am 45 years old, and I have rosacea and pigmentation spots.
Smooths and lifts, and it's evident in the mirror. There is a slight tingling sensation on the skin after application, but it is minor. Used every evening for 2 weeks on oily mature skin.
After using this product, my face turned red and became covered in spots. I tried applying it several times, but had to wash it off after 20 minutes. Moreover, my skin started peeling afterwards.
The serum is really cool, it makes my face look radiant and smoothes out fine wrinkles. It stung a little bit during the first use, but that's just a small inconvenience.
Very cool. It takes a little time to absorb, but I use it with pleasure: I give myself a massage on it.
I also found it suitable for me. I use it in the morning, mix it with vitamin C, and then apply the cream. It has an oily consistency, but it doesn't make my skin greasy, it absorbs well. I like the effect.
I found this product to be suitable for me. I use it in the evenings because it has an oily consistency, followed by a cream. In the morning, there is no greasy shine, which is a problem for my oily skin. I really like the effect it gives.
I purchased the product with 2% retinol in squalane to be able to alternate between them. They work very well together! There is no dryness, my skin has become more elastic, and there are significantly fewer breakouts. Even the "crow's feet" around my eyes have slightly smoothed out. I have combination skin and I am 29 years old. I am very satisfied.
Well, to be honest, comparing it to Israeli professional and especially American professional products doesn't make sense, it falls behind significantly. I bought three products - this one, almond oil, and a vitamin powder. I draw my conclusions based on these three products. I purchased it primarily because of its composition, which is good, and the concentration of "beneficial" substances is substantial. I'm not particularly impressed with its mechanism of action, it seems simple but my skin hasn't shown any significant changes. Maybe it has a strong cumulative effect?! Maybe it's okay for this price. Maybe it's something individual. I wouldn't recommend it to those who are spoiled. It didn't cause any allergies.
I mix it with the vitamin C powder from the same brand. The effect is amazing. My skin is radiant and looks like it's been treated by a cosmetologist. Over time, it seems to lighten redness and blood vessels.
There is absolutely no effect. None at all.
I love this serum. It is lightweight and oily, and it blends well with any oil, especially argan oil. It can be applied on its own, and during summer, it is enough for me alone. I apply it on my face after using a toner, but the best effect is achieved when applied on damp skin after using rose water or any hydrating water.
It moisturizes, and that's it. It doesn't do anything else, it doesn't tone the skin, it doesn't provide any effects, not even a slight lifting, it doesn't smooth out wrinkles (I'm not even 30 yet, so my wrinkles are minimal to say that I have deep wrinkles that even Botox wouldn't fix). Retinol smooths out better, and regular clay tones the skin better. I'll finish the bottle and won't buy it again. It's an economical product.
The effect when you apply it in the morning and then go out in the sun, the acid changes consistency under the sun's rays and quickly absorbs into the skin, making it velvety, which is cool, but it's not worth even this money.
This product is excellent, I have already purchased it for the second time. It can be applied on its own or mixed with other serums. My favorite method is to apply a mixture of moisturizing serum + 2 drops of this serum + a drop of oil on a dampened face with toner. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film. And then, seal it all with a moisturizer. This is an outstanding product!!
