I have been searching for a replacement for my favorite foundation, which is no longer being produced, and I decided to try Lumene. The shade 00 matched my fair skin tone, although I'm not extremely pale. However, shade 01 has a yellowish tint to it - I chose the shade in a physical store and it looked good on my hand at the time. But when I applied it to my face, I was very disappointed. It is very difficult to apply, doesn't adapt to my skin tone, doesn't blend well, and looks like a mask with streaks, even though it's not thick. On the contrary, it's liquidy, which causes it to be used up quickly. At the same time, it emphasizes all wrinkles, dry patches, etc. Before application, you need to moisturize the skin very well, even though mine is not dry at all, and after that, it becomes even harder to apply, in patches. It also doesn't cover redness very well - it fades quickly. It also doesn't have a wow mattifying effect - after a couple of hours, there is already oily shine. Furthermore, it is not recommended for people with acne as it contains comedogenic talc. I'm not an expert in foundations, but I didn't like this one... I would say that the product corresponds to its price, although I believe there are better options among budget foundations.
It mattifies and doesn't dry out, the first time I've seen something like this. I support all the positive reviews. Shade 0 is perfect for fair skin, without any yellow undertones. I have dry skin without visible pores, and it doesn't dry it out. I'm satisfied, thanks to the manufacturer. I asked the store to send me the declaration number via SMS so that I could pay for the order at the new post office upon receipt. I didn't receive an SMS from Makeup, but Albina responded, although she didn't send it. I called the new post office, where they provided me with the declaration number.
I absolutely love this foundation. I have combination skin. The cream effectively covers imperfections without drying out the skin. The key is to moisturize the skin before applying it. I have been using it for several years now and it has never failed me.
Honestly, after using different foundations for 5-7 years, this one is one of the worst I have ever had to use. The foundation is terrible, a classic beige in shade 01, but after a minute or two, it oxidizes to such an extent that it is on par with the darkest shades of foundations I have seen. It's just horrifying, especially considering that it is not one of the most budget-friendly options!
I highly recommend it. I have been using it for a long time. It doesn't dry out the skin. It applies evenly and leaves the skin looking smooth. My acquaintances are surprised that the foundation has such a lightweight texture on the face.
I am satisfied with this foundation for my acne-prone and oily skin, but it is important to moisturize the skin before applying it, as it may accentuate all your imperfections.
This is the best foundation I have ever had. It is perfect for fair skin.
This foundation is awesome, perfect for oily skin.
The foundation is superb, it effectively covers redness and blends seamlessly with the skin (there is no visible boundary between the face and neck when applying the foundation). It provides a nice matte finish, which is perfect for my combination skin type. The shade matches me perfectly. It doesn't dry out the skin and feels delicate and silky to the touch. I highly recommend it!
The product is lightweight and matches the color perfectly. However, it doesn't last all day and it excessively dries out the skin, even if you moisturize before applying. It's not suitable for dry skin.
The Light Ivory shade is a great match for fair skin, and most importantly, it doesn't give a yellowish tint. It feels pleasant on the skin.
I purchased the Ultra Light foundation. Ladies, if you have fair skin, this might not be suitable for you as it tends to make your complexion appear very yellow. It's a pity because
This product suits my sensitive skin perfectly. I use two different shades and mix them together.
Lumene is one of the best products because it is oil-free and does not cause breakouts. It is suitable for sensitive skin. I have compared it with other brands like M.A.C (STUDIO SCULPT SPF 15 FOUNDATION), Inglot (AMC CREAM FOUNDATION NF), and Estee Lauder (Double Wear Stay-in-Place), and personally, I found them to be worse than Lumene.
I am not picky when it comes to cosmetics, but I did not like this foundation. I have combination skin, but it accentuates all the wrinkles and creases. After some time, it starts to slide and it feels like a mask on my face. It does cover redness fairly well.
I have acne-prone skin, and this product does not provoke new breakouts. It effectively conceals redness and does not feel heavy on the skin.
One of the best for me, it mattifies, lasts long, and is not runny. It does not clog pores.
This product provides excellent coverage and truly mattifies for a long time. Shade 01 is perfect for fair skin. However, it has an unpleasant scent. Overall, the foundation is not bad, but there are better options available, so I doubt I will repurchase it.
It's okay, but not impressive. If you apply too much, it becomes mask-like, even when using a sponge. It tends to settle into creases, but that's not surprising considering its thick texture. The shades are good, they don't oxidize. Overall, it's alright, but I won't be purchasing it again.
Super!
Great foundation, found my perfect match. It completely satisfied me, even as someone picky like me. It covers pigment spots well, but doesn't camouflage pimples. It sits wonderfully and lasts on the skin. It gives a fresh look and effectively mattifies, especially in shade 0. I will definitely repurchase. Convenient packaging.
This product is exactly like Lumene CC Color Correcting Cream but it mattifies the skin. It is an excellent option for oily or combination skin, but during winter, it may emphasize any flakiness or windburn. The skin should be well moisturized before applying it, without any dryness.
This foundation is quite good, it applies evenly and doesn't smear. For this price, it is very good.
I have previously used a mattifying foundation in a different packaging. Unfortunately, this product is different from that one. First of all, it provides a more matte effect, and my skin doesn't start shining as quickly. Secondly, it can accentuate dry patches and settle into pores. Thirdly, the coverage is not very dense, as it hardly conceals anything. Additionally, it sets quickly on the skin, so you have to work fast. I mix it with the same brand's CC cream to prevent it from drying out my skin too much.
Great product! It lasts all day (combination skin). The only thing is that it may slightly emphasize flakiness, so it's important to prepare the skin well before applying. It looks very beautiful on the face.
This is a good BB cream for girls with normal, combination, and dry skin. The coverage is very light, but it has good concealing ability. It can accentuate flakiness, especially towards the end of the day, but this can be avoided if you prepare your skin properly. It has good staying power and doesn't transfer onto clothes. I got the shade 01, and it matched my fair skin with a yellow undertone perfectly. In this price range, it's a wonderful BB cream.
Great foundation that is affordable. I use it only with the Bobbi Brown and Physicians Formula base.
The coverage is closer to average. I have combination skin, but it still needs to be moisturized before applying the foundation. On the T-zone, where sebum is more prominent and the skin is not as dry as, for example, on the chin, the foundation looks quite good and does not slide off the skin when the first signs of oiliness appear. HOWEVER, on areas where sebum is not produced, after about 3-4 hours, it starts to flake because it continues to dry out the skin even when the moisture has already been depleted. Consequently, it also emphasizes dry patches, and when the skin is prepared for makeup, applying the foundation may be tolerable with a slight highlighting effect. But after a few hours, when the foundation dries out the dry patches even more, they become more noticeable.
In conclusion, the foundation will work best with skin that is more oily rather than combination, as it withstands sebum production well and does not absorb into the sponge/tissue when touching up makeup. For combination skin, it is only suitable if the non-sebum areas are not dry and without flakiness.
However, it may not be suitable for excessively oily skin if the makeup is touched up with a mattifying tissue (as it takes away some of the product), but it can withstand the use of a sponge and a layer of powder.
This foundation is amazing! I never liked Dior as much as this one. It has a light coverage but it can cover any redness or small pimples. It doesn't oxidize and lasts a long time. It also mattifies the skin. The formula is good and doesn't cause breakouts (which happened with some other foundations).
Another very important point is that Lumene cosmetics are not tested on animals, which is a bonus for their karma and also my personal preference.
However, I had a problem with choosing the shade... The first time I got shade 01, which was slightly darker than my skin tone, and then I got shade 00 - it was extremely white, they called me a vampire at home haha. Maybe someone can advise me on which shade to choose? Which one is moderately light? I can't seem to determine it on the website.
The coverage ability is good because it is dense.
They haven't invented a better foundation yet. It adjusts perfectly to your skin tone and truly hides imperfections instead of emphasizing them like other brands' products.
I have oily skin on my face. The foundation applies nicely and has a satin-glossy finish. However, it only stays matte on my skin for about 3 hours, even when set with powder. After that, I have to use blotting sheets again.
The cream itself is good. I tried it in the store, but maybe it had already oxidized there because it was darker than the one I received in the end. It's a bit on the lighter side (well, and too heavy for summer, I thought it would be lighter).
I have combination skin that is prone to redness and breakouts. I purchased shade 00. What can I say about this product?
Pros:
- Long-lasting
- Covers visible blemishes and redness
- Doesn't transfer onto the phone
- Natural finish, not overly matte
- Doesn't oxidize much (just a little bit)
However, it has significant drawbacks for me, which are very noticeable:
- Settles into pores and fine lines
- Accentuates any dry patches if they exist
It definitely won't work for dry skin. It should be okay for normal and combination skin without visible dryness. So, the opinion is mixed. I might use it by mixing it with other foundations, but not on its own.
I have oily skin and after a few hours, the foundation clogs my pores and becomes visible to the naked eye.
I really liked this product. It works well for oily skin. It mattifies nicely and effectively covers redness and even flakiness. The longevity is also excellent. It stays matte for around 6 hours. I'm surprised that I found such a great cream for this price. However, for summer it is still quite heavy.
I have oily, problematic skin. This is the best foundation! It doesn't feel heavy on the skin, doesn't settle into pores, and the shade matches me perfectly. It doesn't completely cover severe redness (covers about 4/5, but that's enough for me), but it doesn't cause any allergies or breakouts. And (for those who care) Lumene is not tested on animals.
I have oily skin with acne, post-acne marks, and peeling because I treat my skin with aggressive products.
In terms of coverage, this foundation covers about 4/5 of my skin without the mask-like effect or the feeling of clay on my skin. It has a semi-matte finish that looks quite natural with a subtle highlighting effect, but not overly shiny. It's exactly what I need. It accentuates visible peeling, especially if the skin is not prepared. By the way, shade 1 is perfect for light-medium warm skin tone, without any noticeable pink or yellow undertones.
In terms of longevity, this is the most long-lasting foundation in my collection. It holds up well and survives even seven sweat sessions during a bike ride. For even more longevity, you can set problematic areas of the face with powder. The foundation wears off nicely without clumping. It also helps control oiliness, although this might be due to the effects of niacinamide serums or medication.
I tried this foundation after a CC cream, which didn't work for me at all as it emphasized everything. I'm glad I decided to try this matte foundation instead. It's a perfect match for me, without exaggeration.
P.S.: For areas with severe peeling, I mostly apply a BB cream from another brand, as it visually smoothens them out. Its formula is more radiant, natural, and moisturizing.
I like this brand, but I needed to change my CC cream because my skin tends to get used to products and my favorite ones just stop working. Since I needed to take a break, I decided to go for a heavier foundation and chose this one. The classic beige shade turned out to be too light for me, giving my skin a grayish tone. It didn't cover my post-acne marks and emphasized any unevenness and dry patches on my face, sinking into wrinkles. I have combination skin that tends to be oily. The cream itself is not easy to blend and also not comfortable to wear. I do not recommend it.
I really liked the foundation. When I first apply it, it appears yellowish, which scared me at first. But after some time (around 5-10 minutes), the foundation blends with my skin and the yellowish tint is no longer visible. It provides good coverage and has a matte finish. I am very satisfied. As Snow White, my skin is very fair and I have had trouble finding a suitable foundation everywhere.
The foundation is okay. However, for this price, Katritz is better. The finish is matte, but only for an hour, then shine appears. The packaging is strange, it constantly leaks through the cap, as if the foundation just pours into it.
I received a foundation with shade 00, and it matched perfectly. The color is similar to Fit me 105. I have combination skin, and the coverage is medium. It really mattifies well and beautifully evens out the skin.
The foundation is definitely not suitable for oily skin. It does not control shine, but it provides good coverage. Another downside is that by the end of the day, it leaves a greasy shine and reveals all the fine lines and pores. It would be more suitable for normal skin, but it did not work for me.
I had a bad reaction to this foundation on my skin. I couldn't understand why for a long time until I switched to another one. Additionally, I want to mention that this foundation only lasts for about 3 hours before it starts to slide off and make my face look shiny like a lightbulb. Furthermore, it accentuates all the flaws later on.
I am buying it for the second time. I really like it, it has a pleasant texture and it stays on well. I choose these for fair skin.
I didn't like it. I bought the shade 3 (fresh apricot). I have oily skin and this foundation made it even more noticeable. Moreover, the color looked like a mask and emphasized my skin's imperfections. My cosmetologist was not impressed with this foundation at all and recommended that I throw it away, as it damages the skin.
I love Lumene for its truly light-toned foundations. I bought shade number 0, which is perfect for pale skin with a neutral undertone. For a glowing effect, you can mix the foundation with a liquid highlighter. As a base, I use Lumene cream for sensitive skin - another favorite product from this brand.
Pros:
- Average density, effectively conceals imperfections
- Performs better than many other foundations throughout the day
- Non-comedogenic
Cons:
- DOES NOT MATTE!
- I have combination skin, and it only mattifies for about an hour(( It's almost the same as Blur Foundation (which I do not recommend for girls with combination and oily skin for this reason)
- I think it will be suitable for winter. Probably won't buy it again.
I have shade 0, and it perfectly matches what I have been looking for in foundations. The shade is a great match. It adds freshness to my face and gives a subtle glow. I really liked it, and it meets all my expectations. It lasts well and doesn't irritate or clog pores. It is lightweight and covers imperfections of not very problematic skin nicely. It holds up well under a base and doesn't slide off during the day.
