The moisturizer does not hydrate properly. It may nourish or soothe, but it definitely does not moisturize. Even when applied on serum, it slightly tightens the skin. It's not terrible, but another La Roche moisturizer is much better in terms of hydration.
This is a good cream, although it is quite greasy, but over time I got used to it and my skin adapted. It doesn't cause irritation and soothes (in my case). I use it at night, as during the day I prefer a lighter-textured cream.
I needed nourishment for my dry skin and after rebranding, my favorite old Avène was no longer the same - so I bought this cream. After the first use, it stung quite a bit. However, afterwards, it was fine, and there was no more burning sensation. Perhaps my skin needed to get used to it. It is very thick and dense, but it does the job - nourishes and moisturizes well. I have to wait for the shine to go away, so in the morning, another cream works better for me. However, this cream is very good for nighttime use.
If you also don't understand the difference between two identical creams, Riche and Creme, let me explain. Both creams have probiotics, but Riche is oilier and denser. It has the ability to roll on the face. It didn't suit me very well, as it felt like a "oily pancake" without any significant nourishing and moisturizing effect. However, Creme was perfect for my dry, sensitive, and atopic skin.
The cream is simply perfect. It is not greasy for my combination skin. It nourishes the skin beautifully. It can be used as a day and night cream. It blends well with foundation. It suits me very well after using retinol.
