Etat Libre d'Orange, one of the world’s renowned niche perfume brands, has released the exclusive Don't Get Me Wrong Baby collection. Among many other fragrances, it includes Yes I Do inspired by a wedding story. It goes without saying that a wedding day is one of the most important times in anyone’s life full of promises of infinite love.
What makes all these fragrances truly special is that they contain a ‘secret’ ingredient that sets them apart from any fragrances you’ve smelt before. It will surely reveal itself, no mistake. It’s like the intriguing question when he asks her, ‘Do you..?’ And she replies, ‘Yes, I do’.
The olfactory pyramid of Etat Libre d'Orange Don't Get Me Wrong Baby, Yes I Do:
Top notes are dominated by the white theme. It is hidden in a lush bridal bouquet featuring charming lily of the valley and jasmine.
Heart notes are permeated with delicate, slightly citrus overflows mixed with the marshmallow scent and women’s aldehydes known for their ability to adapt well to the natural body smell.
Base notes hold this secret ingredient, which is an exquisite blend of musk, patchouli, resinous amber and bitter cocoa.
I have read a lot about this fragrance, and they say it's not long-lasting and only smells like flowers, boring... But that's not true at all. Of course, personal perception cannot be dismissed. The thing is, it is very similar in character to Tiziana Terenzi White Fire, which some also accuse of being short-lived and flat. But, like White Fire, this fragrance is delicate and not overpowering, it doesn't bother anyone, but it is definitely there! Even after washing with soap, it lingers, it definitely has a trail that is weightless and truly expensive. On me, it fully unfolds, even without waiting after purchasing - it is dense, warm, sweet (in moderation), soft, so pleasant... It's not a gourmand scent, as some might think due to the cocoa and pear note, they only deepen and soften the floral fragrance. But it's not just flowers, it's deeper. My skin immediately reveals the base notes, and oh my... why did I get the 50ml, I want 100ml, for sure. Especially considering that I'm not a big fan of floral fragrances, I do adore one - White Fire, and now Yes I Do is at the same level for me - so calm, so pleasant, and truly beautiful. By the way, it doesn't sound natural, which is fortunate for me, but it does sound high-quality, and you can immediately feel it. It's complex, but it never overshadows the space. It's one of those fragrances that complements us, rather than the other way around.
