The only difference is that, since testers are produced for promotional purposes, the manufacturer does not pay as much attention to their packaging: they are offered in what is called technical packaging (a plain cardboard box, differing from the packaging of retail bottles) and often do not include a cap. Therefore, testers are more affordably priced.
