In 1950, the Guerlain family decided to create a fragrance based on the fascinating roots of vetiver, a plant native to India. After several trials, the perfumer managed to achieve a delicate balance, reminiscent of the earth's exhalations under the pale light of a star. All of this is intertwined with woody notes, the refined elegance of spices, and tobacco, creating a rare and sophisticated scent.
Thanks to its modern geometry and clean lines, the Vetiver bottle embodies the fashionable silhouette of true French elegance.
This fragrance can transform a young man into a true gentleman of means, while inspiring a mature man to new achievements, passions, and triumphs. Trust us, this scent will complement your persona and create an essential aura around its wearer!

I really liked this perfume. The Guerlain DNA is quite prominent: a powdery-sandalwood base with a bright citrus opening. The longevity and sillage are quite impressive. Surprisingly, there is not much vetiver in the fragrance with such a name, but rather a lot of black pepper with prickly, non-sweet tobacco. Overall, it is fantastic and has a claim to universality.
Fresh and summery. Superb.
I am going crazy for this scent. It has a vintage and rich sound. It's old school. It starts with a strong herbal note, then transitions into a rich carnation scent that eventually blends into tobacco leaves. The base is a leather-suede accord. It's independent and intolerant, a beauty! It's an era!
This is a classic. And anyone who says it reminds them of cheap cologne simply doesn't understand high-end perfumery (by the way, it used to be niche). The scent of Guerlain's vetiver is one of the pillars of luxury perfumery.
The fragrance is serious and captivating, not for noses accustomed to popular "fresh" scents. It is more suitable for hot summer weather.
