The bands are good, but they are very tight. The diameter doesn't allow them to be worn on the wrist, even for a short period of time. However, I believe they would be suitable for a child.
I don't use rubber bands at all because they always come off right away. But these ones hold perfectly, they fit in diameter (look inconspicuous), and have a good grip strength.
I used to purchase the same brown ones before and everything was great, but I wasn't lucky with the black ones. I managed to tear two of them on the very first day.
The hair bands are very tight and pull the hair a lot.
