It's hard to believe that the fragrance Royal Bain De Caron by the French perfume house Caron was released over 60 years ago. Even after so many years, it remains as captivating and vibrant, and just as unique in its whimsical nuances. The perfume lends a distinctive individuality and a special, refined charm.
Lovers of oriental-floral compositions - of both genders, as this is a unisex fragrance - will find it impossible to resist the enchanting scents of lilac and rose that open the perfume. The 'heart' melody is very lingering and enveloping, with balsamic softness achieved through the blend of benzoin and frankincense. The resin of opoponax adds an extraordinary nobility to the entire fragrance pyramid. The ambery-musk resinousness, combined with rich woody-spicy chords of piquant vanilla, unobtrusively sweet sandalwood, and white cedar, creates a pleasant delicate resonance that, fading away, leaves behind a tantalizing enchanting aura.
Caron never disappoints. The fragrances of this brand are the epitome of the highest quality perfumes for nearly 100 years. Caron Royal is the pioneer that has inspired other brands, such as Kenzo Flower and Montale Powder Flowers, to create similar scents.
A soft, powdery and lipstick-like rose with vanilla notes. It leans more towards a feminine scent rather than a masculine one.
I really liked the scent. It is sweet, rich, and resinous, perfect for cold weather. It's not an evening fragrance, more of a cozy, homely one. I enjoy using it to freshen up my towels. The bottle doesn't have a spray, which makes it a little inconvenient to open the inner stopper. I transfer it little by little into a atomizer.
