I am buying the tonic for the second time and I am very satisfied with it. It has effectively reduced the pores on my face. It cleanses well and, although it stings a little if there are any micro cracks on my face, it has reduced breakouts. Overall, I like it and I will order more once it's finished.
I am buying the tonic for the second time and I am very satisfied with it. It has truly minimized the pores on my face. It cleanses well and although it slightly stings if there are any micro cracks on my face, it has reduced breakouts. Overall, I really like it and I will definitely order more once it's finished.
It has a very strong alcohol scent, as if you're applying some kind of aftershave to your face. I no longer use it on my face, but I found a good way to use this lotion. I apply it once a week on clean problem areas of my body, like my back, and after half an hour I apply moisturizer. This leaves my skin soft and free from breakouts.
A great tool for oily and combination skin. It dries out the skin, but that's how it should be. If you moisturize with a cream afterwards, it's perfect. It slightly reduces open pores and cleanses the skin.
This is a great product for treating back and shoulder acne, as it unclogs pores. I once tried applying it on my face together with Effaclar Duo+, and the burning sensation was unbearable, even after washing my face, it lasted for about an hour. Now, I don't combine these products and apply them separately. The toner is effective for its purpose, improving the texture of problematic skin, just be careful not to overdo it.
A great product for oily or combination skin. It effectively dries out the skin, which is its main purpose. It also minimizes open pores and effectively treats breakouts. Compared to other toners, it cleanses the skin very well. If you apply this toner or any other on a cotton pad, the pad with this toner will be dirty, while the other one will remain clean. I use the entire line of products and my breakouts disappear. However, if I try other brands, new breakouts appear. After using this toner, it is essential to use a moisturizer, and everything will be great.
I have been using almost the entire range from La Roche, but this toner has disappointed me the most. The smell is exactly like alcohol, it stings and makes my face red. For its price, there are many toners available with a great formula that actually work. I do not recommend anyone to buy it, even if you need to "dry out" oily skin.
It is not suitable for sensitive and combination skin. It dries out the cheeks, which are prone to redness and couperose, immediately turning them bright burgundy and excessively dry. The forehead and entire T-zone become shiny by morning. I thought it was due to the creams, but when I switched lotions, the situation completely changed. However, it is somewhat suitable for teenage oily skin prone to acne breakouts, as it effectively dries out and prevents new pimples. The verdict is that it's okay at 15 years old, but not at 34.
I accidentally bought the wrong tonic from this series. I don't really like it because it dries out my skin and has a lot of alcohol in it.
Awful tonic, I had an unreal allergy reaction to it, and even felt like I had a burn. The alcohol content in it is ridiculously high, so I absolutely do not recommend it.
Great toner, my daughter has been using it for years and she is very satisfied. Thank you.
This product is extremely aggressive, as it excessively dries out and irritates the skin due to its high alcohol content. Even moisturizing does not help prevent excessive dryness.
This lotion is good, but it seems like it cannot be used every day. Because at 35 years old, after 1.5 weeks of daily morning and evening use, I developed 2 painful subcutaneous rashes on my right cheek, which also itched a little.
I purchased the lotion to minimize pores. I did not have any rash issues before using it.
Then I took a break from using it for 4 days, and the rashes started to disappear. It seems like it needs to be used in smaller amounts, maybe once a day and every other day.
Great lotion. I recommend applying it within the first 30 seconds after drying your skin with a towel or face wipes. The effect truly improves.
I have been using the entire line of products for about six months: cleanser, toner, cream, and a serum with three acids. Initially, everything seemed fine, as it effectively dealt with oiliness and left my skin feeling cleaner. However, over time, it started damaging my skin's protective barrier. My skin became dry and as a result, it became even oilier and the texture worsened. I couldn't do anything to improve it. It took me some time to realize that it was the products causing these issues. Once I started testing new creams and cleansers, my skin improved. As for the toner, it is useless. There was a period when I used it on only half of my face for three weeks just to see if it made any difference. It didn't work at all, there was no noticeable change.
Hello, unfortunately, this review is not pleasant for me. The description on the jar and the product page only mentioned applying it on clean skin and moisturizing afterward. However, I only found out from the comments on the makeup page that the product should not be used every day, but rather 2-3 times a week. After using it daily for a few days, my skin started to burn on problem areas, and washing it off with water did not help, nor did any of the restoring or moisturizing products. I have very dry patches on my face that have become red and burn throughout the day. I have put this product aside and now I hope my skin won't worsen, because it feels like my skin is peeling off and burning more with each passing hour. The redness is constant, and I have never experienced this before in my life, even though I had problematic skin, it never had these issues. I used the following sequence every day:
1. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel
2. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion
3. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + M
I'm not blaming anyone, but I regret not reading the comments earlier. If anyone knows how to restore the skin on dry patches, I would be very grateful because I'm worried it will only get worse if I do nothing.
Unfortunately, this tonic only ruined my skin. I bought it in Europe. Other Effaclar products were more or less satisfactory to me. Perhaps the tonic removes the top layer of dirt, but by tightening the pores and containing alcohol (which causes dryness - hence increased production of sebum), it only encapsulated everything inside for me. Now, I have to treat it for a long time and it's tedious.
I use it constantly and my pores have significantly reduced, and my skin condition has improved.
I have ordered this product for the second time. Although it contains alcohol, it does not dry out my skin at all. Almost all of my breakouts have cleared up (I had some stubborn pimples under the skin, not red, just like little bumps).
I really liked the tonic, it has a pleasant scent and makes the skin softer and cleaner to the eye.
After a week of use, I noticed a reduction in pore size. I use it once a day, along with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + and La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Cream. I apply one cream in the morning and the other at night.
Cosmetics don't need advertising, they are suitable for my daughter, and that's the most important thing.
I bought this tonic at the pharmacy. My skin is combination, with shine in the T-zone, especially in the summer. This tonic suited me very well, as I noticed that it minimized my pores and reduced the shine on my skin. Although there is alcohol in it, surprisingly it doesn't dry out my skin even when applied to my entire face, so it's not too aggressive. I want to emphasize that my skin is not oily, but rather combination. I think it's perfect for the summer, but it might be drying during the winter or colder seasons. I use it together with the Effaclar cleansing gel in the green tube (I forgot the exact name) and also the La Roche-Posay sunscreen for combination and oily skin. All of these products combined give me great results.
I have very oily skin. I have been using the Effaclar line for two months now. My skin tone has become more even, it reduces oiliness, and my redness/breakouts have reduced by 80%. I am buying it for the second time. I am satisfied and I recommend it.
I purchased this product six months ago (its composition is shown in the photo) - I liked it and appreciated it. Now I ordered the exact same thing again, but when I started using it, I realized that a significant amount of alcohol has been added to the composition! Previously, it was not present at all, as you can see in the photo. Firstly, the composition has been completely changed while keeping the same name, and secondly, alcohol is now listed as the second ingredient. By the way, I couldn't find the composition on the website before placing the order, so there must be something to hide. The tonic has worsened, it disappointed me, and I will not buy it again.
The number of breakouts has decreased, and the skin tone has become brighter. I use La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel and La Roche-Posay Effaclar K(+).
Hello. I am very satisfied with the entire Effaclar series, especially the lotion. I have already ordered it for the second time. It dries out the skin, eliminates shine, and tightens pores. It works perfectly.
This is a great product that effectively soothes the skin without causing dryness. It cleanses and minimizes pores effectively. It is perfect for my problematic skin. It suits me well.
The product is good, the results are visible, I highly recommend it.
As always, the best of the best. The entire budget product line is of exceptional quality.
I am satisfied with the tonic, as it effectively fulfills its functions. It has helped alleviate dryness and has also improved areas with small breakouts and blemishes, which is very pleasing. I definitely recommend it, as it gently and delicately cleanses the skin without causing any tightness.
The toner is really good, I'm ordering it for the second time. Unlike the face wash gel from the same line, it doesn't dry out my skin. I usually used it along with many other products, so I couldn't really single out its "work," but when the power and water went out, I had to remove my makeup only with a sponge and this lotion. And let me tell you: I woke up with incredibly silky skin, without dryness or tightness. Honestly, I used to think that this lotion would dry out my skin, not the gel. I definitely recommend it.
I purchased this product based on the reviews. I have combination skin, and I really liked how lightweight it is. It doesn't leave any stickiness, doesn't tighten the skin, and doesn't cause any redness. After using it, I feel refreshed! I am satisfied with it, and now it's my favorite!
Drying the skin with alcohol in its composition. For this price, you can find a better alternative. Although this brand has quite decent jars.
I have previously left a review here.
First, I received a sample from the makeup, and now I have purchased the full version.
It is a really great product.
It reduces pores and dries out breakouts.
I absolutely love the whole Effaclar series.
I tried it on my husband, and he also had excellent results: his breakouts disappeared and his pores became smaller.
The smell of alcohol doesn't bother me at all, everything is good.
It doesn't dry out the skin if you use a moisturizer or serum afterwards.
In the morning, we apply SPF for skin protection.
Very cool lotion! I have sensitive combination skin, mostly dry. After applying, it feels pleasant and doesn't sting or dry out. I've been using it for over two weeks now, and the redness has disappeared, and almost all old breakouts have healed, with no new ones appearing. It's a great product, I highly recommend it!
Don't expect any effect.
It feels odd, with a strong smell of alcohol and a burning sensation similar to alcohol.
It effectively clears open, wide, and clogged pores right from the first use. It helps slightly reduce closed comedones with regular application. I can't say that it directly tightens the pores. It has a slight tingling sensation, indicating a peeling effect. It did not cause any irritation on sensitive skin. It does dry the skin a bit, but it is not critical.
The lotion is good, it cleanses, tightens pores, does not dry out the skin, and my breakouts disappeared when I used it together with the cleansing gel from the same series. I am very satisfied. Many people mention the alcohol smell, yes, it's there, but it's not surprising since alcohol is the second ingredient. It doesn't bother me though. I recommend it.
It has a strong smell of alcohol and is very drying.
I bought it a few days ago and started using it together with La Roche-Posay Cleansing Gel-Foam for oily and problematic skin. I am satisfied with the effect even after a few days, there is visible improvement in my skin. After pregnancy, I started experiencing breakouts on my face, and vitamins and pharmacy products did not give me the same result as these products. There are fewer breakouts, red spots are disappearing, and my skin is less oily. These products worked for me, and I am very satisfied.
This product didn't work for me. It caused a severe breakout, and now my face is covered in pimples like a teenager. The strong smell of alcohol was very off-putting. Overall, I am disappointed with the product.
This product exfoliates the skin quite aggressively, making it very easy to experience irritation and redness even with just every other day use, which will then require additional treatment. For sensitive skin, I would recommend using it no more than 1-2 times a week and definitely not for daily use, as it can disrupt the skin barrier. AHA acids would be a much better choice for exfoliation if your skin is sensitive or dehydrated. It does effectively clear out the pores, but at the same time, it also dries out the skin (it contains a fair amount of alcohol), which contradicts the principles of caring for problem skin. Let me clarify: of course, I used a moisturizer after applying the toner, but it does not fully protect the skin from such an aggressive product.
I have bought La Roche lotion not for the first time, and I have never felt the desire to change it. When used in conjunction with the cleansing gel and face cream, it gives an incredible effect. After using the lotion, my face feels fresh and clean. Even though I indulge in sweets, my face remains in excellent condition. I would like to thank the store for frequently holding promotions with gifts in the form of miniature products. Thanks to this, I had the opportunity to try almost all the products from the Effaclar series and purchase full-size versions of the ones that suited me and left a good impression.
It contains 20% alcohol, which is too much. It does indeed dry out the skin but also dehydrates it significantly. I definitely do not recommend it for problematic skin.
I really liked this lotion. It's exactly what I needed for my oily skin. It has a smoothing and exfoliating effect. However, the price is a bit high, especially considering that it doesn't last very long.
I forgot to mention that, despite the fact that its expiration date passed three years ago, the product hasn't spoiled at all.
I didn't buy it here, but I want to share my experience. I've been using it for the second time now, the first time was 3 years ago. I bought it, but didn't quite understand its effect, so it ended up gathering dust on the shelf until today! It was already expired for a long time, so I decided to finish it off. There was a little bit left in the bottle, along with my favorite cleanser from the same Eflacar series, which I always have (it's amazing, especially in the summer). Overall, here's the result: after using it regularly for 2 weeks, all the redness disappeared and my skin noticeably improved. I didn't even expect it, it seemed like my skin even had a glowing effect. The smell isn't unpleasant, it's not overpowering, it's fine for me. The product pleasantly surprised me! And today, I bought it again. It's worth it! I don't understand the negativity in the reviews - everyone has different skin types, different problems, and we all know how to take care of our skin differently. I love you, La Roche!
The product has a very strong smell of alcohol. I have sensitive combination skin and I thought it would be suitable since I have used a calming product from the same brand before. However, it not only did not suit me, but my skin became extremely oily and inflammation started. I believe it was caused by the alcohol in it. As soon as I stopped using it, everything went back to normal. I have a lot of trust in this brand, just not in this particular product.
I highly recommend this product. Both my boyfriend and I have combination skin, and this tonic definitely suited us well. Our skin has improved, and we have noticed a reduction in blackheads.
It has a pleasant smell, but it dries out the skin a lot, and then the skin becomes oilier faster. After using it, there is a strong desire to wash the face again. Unfortunately, it didn't help my skin at all, so more than half of the bottle ended up in the trash.
I decided to try a product from this brand, and after two weeks, I started seeing results. I have now ordered a cleanser and cream. I really liked it.
Definitely 5 stars. I have been using the facial cleanser and toner from this same line for a year. My pores are clean, sometimes I even gently press with a spoon onto a pimple and completely get rid of it. I have oily and porous skin. I want to say that my skin stays matte for longer than it used to in my case. The mattifying cream rolls off, it didn't work for me. I want to try a peeling in autumn, I will leave a review for it too. Wishing everyone beauty)
I don't know who wrote these reviews, but I have to write one myself. It's important to consider your skin type...
The issue is not with the toner, the toner works great. I have bought it multiple times and everything is good, it doesn't dry out my skin, and my skin feels clean and healthy after using it.
Remember to consider your skin type.
Thank you, Maykap, for providing quality products.
I must say that I chose this product for myself. Perhaps that's where the problem lies. My skin used to have breakouts (which is no longer the case as I have been treating it and using professional skincare devices). However, this toner definitely has an exfoliating effect, as it dried out my problematic but not oily skin and caused it to peel in some areas. I didn't notice anything good about it. By the way, my esthetician recommended a toner with acids, but from the brand Biologic Research, and it doesn't dry out my skin!
This toner is terrible. I threw it away almost immediately. It simply dries out the skin without any positive effects for normalizing oily, problematic skin.
If you want to try it out, just wash your face with alcohol for a couple of days. The effect is very similar.
I have never written reviews before, but I have to now! As I read the reviews, I realize that everyone's skin reacts differently to this tonic. So why would you continue using such a horrible product? If you didn't like it, sell it or throw it away. And please, pay attention to what you are buying, consider your skin type. Of course, if you have dry skin, this lotion won't work for you. And if you are just buying it because it claims to minimize pores and you have dry skin, well, it won't work for you.
Now, about the lotion. The lotion is fantastic. It suits me perfectly. My skin feels smooth after using it, and over time, my pores have reduced in size. However, I haven't noticed any improvement in skin tone. It does sting a bit, especially if you have a fresh pimple. I use it together with the gel and cream from the same brand, and they all work great. I am already finishing my second bottle and will definitely be ordering more.
Skin type: oily. I ordered it for the first time and have been using it for about two weeks. It works perfectly in my overall skincare routine. Thank you for the quality.
I used it until the last drop, it lasted almost 8 months, using it twice a day, and sometimes even on my back! In the beginning, there were even dark cotton pads, but after a couple of weeks, my skin was already clean. It is a high-quality product, it dries out the skin. I used the entire Effaclar line when I had skin problems. La Roche-Posay is always a fail-safe option, it always works.
