The salt in the jar is almost odorless and dry, although the manufacturer claims it should be moist due to its composition. Moreover, it has only been a month since its production date. The dye is not specified, but most likely present. If you're considering a purchase, it's probably better to opt for the packaged version.

Overall, it is a lovely shade of green and even emits a hint of color in water. The scent is excellent.
