I bought this product from a cosmetologist upon recommendation. I have combination skin, so I specifically chose it for that. As for its protective qualities, I will be able to assess that after a few months. However, I was disappointed with how it feels on my skin - it feels sticky. It doesn't fully absorb and leaves my face feeling greasy. I had removed a pigmentation spot and thought that I wouldn't need foundation anymore, just SPF and that's it. But no... I still have to use a mineral powder to mattify, so I don't look like a pancake.
