Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap first. Fold the cup. Once inserted, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it has been properly positioned. If unsure, feel the bottom of the cup - it should be round or oval when inserted correctly. If you feel any dents, the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once it's in place, gently pull on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully positioned!
