It has a sticky finish, so you can cover it with cream or makeup, or leave it as is, just be careful not to let lint stick to it. It may drip on the face if squeezed too hard during application, but you will get used to applying it in the right amount. It works very well on individual painful pimples, inflammation, or marks left by them, without leaving any flaky skin around. However, it may not be effective for severe acne on a larger area of the skin, I'm not sure. It works well for daytime skincare under makeup when paired with the fluid from the same brand applied at night.

It causes itching, I believe it works for inflammation and then they really disappear. I wait for 20 minutes and apply a moisturizing cream, the skin calms down and the pimples almost disappear the next day.
