It does a great job of coloring dyed hair! And it has absolutely no effect on the roots, where my natural blonde is. This mask is amazing at maintaining the red hue of my hair, while I rely on a colorist to touch up the roots.

I sometimes use this toning mask to tone the lightened strands around my face. While the beige shade gave a slight tint even with the mask left on the hair for a long time, this caramel one provided a vibrant carrot color effect. During subsequent hair washing procedures, the foam gets tinted orange. So, this caramel shade is more like a reddish/carrot shade. In terms of care, the mask is superb.

This product is odorless. I naturally have light brown hair, and it did not darken or change the shade of my hair in any way. Even after using a cheap shampoo and toner from a different brand, there was more noticeable effect. It's a shame that I wasted my money.
