1. Using Beard Soap: On a wet face (ideally after a shower), quickly dip the shaving brush into warm water and work up the soap in a bowl (without pressing the bristles) until you get a thick, creamy lather. Apply to the face in circular motions for one or two minutes to adequately soften and straighten the beard hairs.

2. Using Shaving Cream: After preparing your face and wetting the brush with warm water, apply a small amount of cream to the top of the brush and lather your face for one to two minutes as described above. Some users prefer to apply a small amount of cream directly from the tube onto each cheek and then emulsify it with the brush.
