First, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods – try a few and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a distinct suction sound or a "pop" noise, indicating it has been correctly positioned. If you're unsure, feel the base of the cup – when properly positioned, it should feel round or oval. If you detect any dents or indentations in the cup, it means it hasn't fully opened. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to ensure a suction seal is formed. Once in place, give the stem a slight tug; if you feel resistance, a suction seal has been created and the cup is properly inserted!
