Apply a generous amount of shaving cream or oil to your face. Hold the razor with the handle facing away from you. Use your free hand to stretch the skin, creating as straight a surface as possible. Position the blade at a 30° angle and gently shave your beard. Start by shaving with the grain, then across it, and finally against the grain.

During shaving, avoid rinsing the blade under running water. Instead, use a pre-prepared lint-free towel, as moisture can damage the blade and make shaving more difficult. After shaving, ensure the razor dries thoroughly. Use a strop to maintain and sharpen the blade.
