Before first use, sterilize the cup by boiling it in water for 3-5 minutes. Start by thoroughly washing your hands with soap. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods – try a few to see which one works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to open up inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it is correctly positioned. If unsure, feel the base of the cup – it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you detect dents or creases, the cup hasn’t fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once the cup is in place, give the stem a slight tug; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully in position!
