Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Make sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods you can try; choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it is properly positioned. If you are unsure, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval when correctly inserted. If you notice dents or folds in the cup, it means it has not fully opened. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once it is in place, gently tug on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction seal is established, and the cup is properly positioned!
