Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. First, make sure to wash your hands with soap. Fold the cup; there are different folding methods you can try to find the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and let it expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will open with a distinctive suction or popping sound, indicating it is correctly positioned. If in doubt, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice dents or folds, the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once it’s in place, gently tug on the stem. If you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully inserted!
