Before the first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Start by washing your hands thoroughly with soap. Fold the cup. There are different folding techniques you can try; choose the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to open fully inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will unfold with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating that it is properly positioned. If you are unsure, feel the base of the cup – it should be round or oval when correctly inserted. If you detect any dents or folds, it means the cup hasn’t fully opened. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a secure seal. Once positioned correctly, gently pull on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully in place!
