Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods, so you can try them out and choose the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it has been positioned correctly. If in doubt, feel the base of the cup; it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice any indentations or dents, it means the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently tug on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is correctly positioned!

Removing the Cup

Remember to wash your hands again. Gently pull on the stem while using your abdominal muscles to push the cup down until you can reach its base. Gently squeeze the base to release the suction and slide the cup out sideways. Empty the cup by pouring out its contents, rinse it with water (pay attention to the air holes), and reinsert it. When your period ends, boil the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes and store it in a cotton bag.

You can use the cup for up to 12 hours, so you'll typically need to empty it in the morning and evening. However, if you find yourself needing to empty it without access to water, you can use toilet paper to clean it.
