The girl who answered my call explained that the USA is the country of the brand, but they have factories in different countries. This is understandable, but it would have been better if the website had mentioned the country of manufacture as China or France, as is usually the case. In this particular situation, both the brand country and the manufacturer are listed as the USA, and this small deception was very disheartening.
