Rochas Madame De Rochas Eau de Toilette

I am disappointed. It is not long-lasting and doesn't leave a trail. It lasted only about 2 weeks. I decided to test it again. It simply has a sweet scent of plum, like plum compote. The longevity is not more than an hour on the body, even less on the hair. It's not at all like it used to be, unfortunately.

Despite all the recent reformulations, it remains recognizable and just as enchanting in its eau de toilette concentration, although it doesn't last as long. The aldehydes are beautifully played, and the entire floral composition sounds just as beautiful, leaving a light trail. It seems to me that modern perfumers have taken a careful approach to reformulating this wonderful creation by one of France's best "noses," Guy Robert, who created this fragrance at the request and with the participation of Ellen Rochas herself in 1960 (not in 1970, as stated in the description!). This was soon after she had to take over the Rochas fashion house following the death of her husband, Marcel Rochas, a remarkable fashion designer. Marcel Rochas, in addition to creating new clothing designs, also paid attention to the accessories that went with them, particularly perfumes, and for this work, he enlisted the help of the best perfumers. For example, to create the legendary Femme fragrance, which he gave to Ellen as a wedding gift, he invited the great perfumer Edmond Roudnitska. By the way, dear Makeup team, the date of creation of Madame Rochas is not the only error. You have long promised, but have not corrected the information in your description of Femme, stating that Marcel Rochas was a "young perfumer" at the time, rather than a well-known fashion designer recognized worldwide.

It wears well over time, maintaining its powdery texture. Despite its aldehydic note, it does not have a soapy scent.

Prickly, yet very familiar. The combination of orange color, moss, sandalwood, and flowers creates a beautiful harmony that lingers pleasantly. The packaging and bottle are exquisitely designed, with a textured cap adding a touch of elegance.

I have long wanted to buy and compare a product with that magical scent I had back in the 80s. It was truly a masterpiece, but I was not impressed with the modern version at all. I sprayed it and immediately smelled a foul and sharp aroma. After a couple of hours, the scent became more or less tolerable. By the end of the day, the powder note was barely noticeable to me. I can say that it has some longevity, but it is average at best. In short, the fragrance is somewhat unusual. It is advisable to test it before buying. It is unlikely to be suitable for young girls.

I used this fragrance in the 90s and it felt like peering through a keyhole into the past... Yes, tastes change over time...

In my opinion, using such a fragrance should be done very carefully and just a tiny bit, it would have been better if it came in a bottle without a sprayer.

Overall, my associations with it are calmness, warmth, coziness, and a little bit of nostalgia... I don't know why. But I didn't think this way before.

I gave it to my mom for her birthday! She absolutely loves it! This scent takes her back to her youth and even reminds me of my childhood. However, I'm afraid it just won't suit young girls.

This fragrance is simply miraculous - it is delicate, trailing, and has a crystal-clear freshness. I adore scents with a light touch of bitterness. Before discovering this fragrance, one must grow and try many different things, and only then will it be able to please even the most capricious nose.

I bought it for myself in England. I ordered it for my friend here. I didn't find any differences. It has a retro scent, suitable for mature and elegant women. My friend is thrilled, although of course the fragrance is quite different from the vintage one.

Yes, the initial notes disappear very quickly. What remains is a powdery scent. Not very long-lasting, but for its price, it's acceptable. Still, it has a nostalgic aroma.
