Guerlain Samsara Eau Eau de Parfum

I do not recommend buying this fragrance if it will be your only scent for everyday use and you have high expectations for it. The fragrance is magical but has its own character. I bought it in February. I sprayed it a couple of times and put it away in a drawer for 2 weeks. After that time, I started getting to know and wear the scent. During winter and spring, it didn't really appeal to me. It smelled like my grandmother and a repulsive cinnamon from a bakery. I wasn't surprised at all because I knew that approaching and giving time to a fragrance is necessary. At the beginning of summer, I gave it another try and applied it in the evening after a shower. Again, that strange chemical smell. BUT!!! After an hour, a miracle happened, all that grandma's stench disappeared and a delicate, musky scent emerged. It smelled like white flowers and ripe apricot kernels. Thank God I finally felt it, I had been waiting for it for so long.

For myself, I noted that Samsara is a cheap granny water in the winter. In the summer, it's a "sex smell," as my husband said. An incredibly tender and expensive fragrance. Long-lasting with a good sillage! Never apply it on clothes, it smells unbearably of cinnamon. Only on clean skin.

The fragrance pleasantly surprised me. Sandalwood is noticeable, but it is presented in a delicately balanced bouquet of components, transforming it into a fairy castle in the clouds. Many people talk about creaminess in the scent, and yes, there is something like that, heavenly cow milk cream))) And this is from a freshly opened bottle! (The eau de cologne smelled for exactly a minute, the alcohol quickly evaporated, and the composition itself revealed.)

Another encounter with a masterpiece from the House of Guerlain. And once again, I am absolutely delighted! I won't even be surprised by any negative reviews. Everyone has their own taste, after all. On the first day, it was a beautiful bitterness of fresh green grass. On the second day, I caught a glimpse of the character of a masculine cologne. And today, without dissecting it into molecules, I'll simply say - it's the scent of expensive powder. And that's it! I absolutely love it! Thank you to the store for the lightning-fast delivery and the discount, in honor of my birthday.

I really love Guerlain perfumes - I have several different ones, but I don't have SAMARA, I've wanted it for a long time and took a risk and got a sample, and I was not disappointed. I received my order, it was packaged properly, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. I didn't like it at all, the main issue being that it is not long-lasting and doesn't leave a lingering scent. The fragrance itself is mediocre and didn't make a strong impression, it only smells strong for about 15-20 minutes and then fades away. In short, I didn't like it. It's not for me.

I recently purchased this perfume in an atomizer. My first impression was simply shocking: it felt like I had applied cologne to my wrist. I was disappointed. However, later on, the scent became more delicate, although it still remained bitter. I will try, as recommended, to come back to it in late autumn or winter. If I still don't like it, I will have to regift it...

Now about the perfume. I really liked it. Unfortunately, I don't know how to break it down into notes, but it is definitely beautiful. It's warm, a bit bitter, sweet, not suitable for hot weather, it can suffocate. But in cooler temperatures, it is very beautiful, rich (just a couple of sprays), long-lasting. I purchased it based on reviews and I wasn't wrong. The scent is luxurious! Very much so!

Not everyone will wear Samsara. It's either hatred or strong love. One of my favorites. It needs to be tested.
