1. Wash your hair with a silicone-free shampoo. 2. Mix the required amount of powder with warm water (around 50°C) until it reaches the consistency of thick sour cream. 3. Once the mixture has cooled slightly but is still warm, apply it to dry hair. Do not apply a hot mixture as it may damage your scalp. 4. Put on a shower cap or wrap your hair in plastic wrap, then cover your head with a warm towel to retain heat. 5. Leave it on your head for 30 minutes to 2 hours. 6. Rinse your hair with warm water. 7. Be patient—your hair color will darken and become more intense over the next few days due to oxidation.

I was initially satisfied with this hair dye, but after 1.5 years of coloring, my hair along the length became extremely dry, and I had to cut it. Over time, it excessively dries out the hair.
Good paint, beautiful color. But not at all durable. It lasted on the hair for less than a month. There are no oils or silicones in the care. The only thing the paint provides is a healing effect. Because, of course, it won't damage your hair.
I have dyed my hair for the second time. The interval was about six months. I added 2 teaspoons of cold-pressed olive oil to one and a half packs of hair dye. The first time I dyed it without adding oil, the color was more intense, but my hair came out softer this second time, which is important to me. I bought a laboratory water bath specifically for henna dyeing to maintain the temperature. The color is dark blonde, similar to my natural light brown, without any reddish undertones. I leave it on my hair for one and a half hours. It is important not to wash your hair for two to three days after dyeing, as it helps the color to set well. I am very satisfied with this dye. For those with dry hair, try adding some oil. Be careful when adding essential oils, as they can give a reddish hue. You can find a list of such oils online. Using oil with henna is also more convenient as it applies more smoothly and doesn't dry out as quickly on the hair.
Updating my review after almost a year of use. At first, there was a wow effect: a decent natural brown color, of course not as trendy as in commercial synthetic dyes, but quite decent, good coverage of gray hair, although it didn't completely dye it. All of this, and even the high price compared to the euro, I was willing to forgive for the natural composition. But... after a year, my hair became very dry, as if I had dyed my entire head and dried it out with a hairdryer in one go. The hair is so stiff that when you lift a strand, it stays in place without hairspray. It is unpleasant to touch and does not hold any hairstyle. In my case, there is no possibility of hair growth. I had to cut it and get a short haircut. A year of hair growth wasted. Unfortunately. The care was professional, focused on ultra-moisturizing, the ends were trimmed with sharp hairdressing scissors, I never use a hairdryer or straightener. From unexpected bonuses: dandruff and severe seborrhea disappeared, but in this year, I improved my diet, took vitamins, and had a stress-free life, so I don't think it's solely thanks to the product, but rather a combination of factors.
I haven't dyed my hair for about 4 years. Then I decided to slightly darken my hair. My natural color is dark brown. I bought 2 packs right away (ash brown, dark brown), but not from here. I checked the temperature of the mixture and followed the instructions strictly. The first coloring with the ash brown shade went fine, the color was beautiful, but only until the first hair wash! After 3 washes, there was no trace of the dye left! After a month, I tried to dye it again with the darker shade, dark brown, but it didn't work at all! There was zero result in terms of coloring, but my hair got extremely dry... Before the first dyeing, I had just cut my hair and there were no split ends at all! But after using this dye, my hair is in terrible condition and it's splitting very badly! Even though I read the instructions on the official website a hundred times and followed each step strictly! I really regret choosing this dye!
This hair dye is amazing. I used it from 2013 to 2016. After that, I went back to regular hair dyes. My hair was damaged. Then I remembered Khadi. ))) Hair becomes thick, nourished, shiny, even sparkling! In the photo, the color is hazel nut, which is my natural dark brown hair color.
I have thin, curly, dark chestnut hair with about 60% gray. For the past 6 years, I have been dyeing my hair with ammonia-free hair dye. However, I started considering natural hair dye after noticing that my hair became dry, despite using conditioners with silicones. I also experienced more flakiness and hair loss. Within 1.5 months, the walnut mocha dye faded to a reddish-brown shade. I used a sulfate shampoo to remove all silicones and did not use a conditioner. The real situation was even more disappointing. My hair was extremely dry and lifeless. I washed my hair with the organic KHADI shampoo and then proceeded with a two-step coloring process. I measured the temperature with a thermometer. First, I applied the HENNA, AMLA & JATROPHA dye for 1.5 hours. The color turned out rich, with the gray roots having a reddish tint. I rinsed it with running water, and the dye washed out easily. Then, I dyed the roots and the entire length with the GOLDEN BROWN dye for another 1.5 hours. I mixed the composition incorrectly, resulting in a paste that was too thick. It should have been more liquid. I rinsed it with warm water, without using shampoo, of course. The result would make someone with weak nerves panic and write a review like "it's all ruined" and "never again in my life" ))) But that's not me. Overall, the color seemed very dark to me, but in terms of tone, it was very close to my natural color. I just used chemical dyes to achieve a shade 1-2 tones lighter. The hair was evenly dyed in a dark chestnut color, with the gray hair along the length having a rich reddish hue, including the gray roots. In addition, the roots (which had grown about 2 cm) acquired a swampy-green tint in some places. What did I do? Nothing, knowing that the color develops over several days. The swampy tint and redness disappeared the next day as if they had never been there. The gray hair is completely covered, and the color is consistent throughout the length. I'm surprised myself. I wouldn't mind if the gray hair had dyed a tone or two lighter, it would have created a kind of highlights. I really like the color - chestnut. In the sun, it has a beautiful natural shade, and the hair shines. The problem of dryness hasn't gone away. It was hidden by conditioners, which I don't want to use now. So, in the evening, I apply 10 drops of KHADI oil to damp hair (since my hair is very dry). In the morning, I wash it with organic shampoo, rinse it with water and apple cider vinegar, and let it air dry without using a hairdryer. I comb it with my fingers. Those with curly hair are lucky in this regard. The roots, dyed with henna, are softer and livelier. I think I will cut off all the chemically damaged hair within 2 years. The noticeable advantages at the moment (5 days after coloring) are: beautiful natural color, vibrant shine, hair that simply glows in the sun, fluffy and soft (thanks to the oil mask), no dandruff, itching, or excessive hair loss. When washing my hair, the water remains clear, and the dye does not wash out. I believe it is very important to follow the recommendations for the brewing temperature of the dye and during its application to the hair (water bath). Also, the henna should be fresh. By the way, I didn't apply any cream before coloring. I simply wiped my forehead and ears with a damp cloth after coloring. Two stains on my neck, which I didn't notice, easily came off after 1.5 hours without any issues.
The first two weeks were fine, the color was nice and bright. But then it started fading very quickly, and you could see the gray hair. I keep the dye on my hair for 2.5 hours, following all the instructions.
After using chemical hair dye, my hair was severely damaged and started falling out. Today, I tried Khadi for the first time - and there are no limits to my happiness! The color is very rich and deep, and my hair is shining like never before! Thank you to everyone who left positive comments and reviews - it helped me make the right choice. Here's a photo immediately after dyeing. I also want to thank Make Up for their excellent service and prompt delivery.
I have been coloring my hair for about a year, and I really like it. But I realized that the color and shade are not for me, and I want to go lighter, closer to my natural color. I couldn't find anywhere on the internet if it's possible to go a few shades lighter. I have been dyeing it with light brown and dark brown. I want a cool dark ashy color.
I have natural light brown hair, and I started to notice gray hairs appearing. Unfortunately, this product does not cover gray hair at all. I left it on for one and a half hours, and it was really inconvenient to apply and wash out from my long hair. The scent of wet ashtray lingers for a long time. Also, the medium blonde shade turned out darker than my natural light brown color. In other words, my hair became darker but the gray hair was not dyed.
Good product, natural, but the price...
I bought the color Copper for dark brown hair. I also specifically purchased the shampoo from the same brand to help the henna adhere better. I followed all the coloring rules according to the instructions. Unfortunately, I didn't achieve the desired color; my hair only slightly toned, but not evenly. However, I did like the pleasant texture of the dye and the improvement in the condition of my hair after coloring (shine, volume, smoothness). I am considering trying the Red color. I like that this dye doesn't damage the hair, but on the contrary, strengthens it. However, there is no guarantee of achieving the desired color.
I liked the walnut color. I kept it for 40 minutes, and the result was neither black nor red but exactly as advertised - chestnut (at a precise temperature of 50 degrees and with a water bath for the bowl with the dye during coloring).
This paint is unforgettable! I always dyed with pure henna and decided to slightly change the shade. As a result, I got a beautiful swamp color at the roots, fortunately, where the old henna was, it didn't take. Now I'm trying to remove it with every possible and impossible method.
The paint is excellent. I use it in two steps to cover up a small amount of gray hair. What's great is that I can touch up just the roots and not the entire length. This results in economical usage. The delivery and packaging are superb.
The hair dye is simply wonderful! After using it, my hair feels nourished, vibrant, and shiny. The scent is pleasant, herbal, and I really like it. Due to having a lot of gray hair, I dye my hair in two stages, and it covers the gray hair perfectly.
I really liked the hair dye, I chose the shade "ash-brown" for my medium-brown hair color. Before, I didn't dye my hair, except for toning, and I didn't use henna. The smell is specific, after coloring, the hair smells like tobacco leaves, but after a few hair washes, this smell disappears. The dye applied evenly, the hair shines, and there was no allergic reaction (I have sensitive scalp). I am very satisfied and will buy it again, maybe in a different shade.
The color is very beautiful and vibrant. It dyed my hair well, I have been looking for such a good henna for a long time. The only downside is that it's a bit expensive compared to others. It's called pure red henna.
The paint is wonderful. The shade "Dark Blonde" is not blonde in our understanding; it is a cool dark brown color. It looks beautiful both on natural roots and on lightened ends. It does not dry out the hair, and the hair shines. I bought it in Germany for 9.9 euros. The brand Khadi is wonderful, but the price in Ukraine is very inflated.
The paint is good, it adds volume and shine, but unfortunately the color remained the same as it was before painting. I chose the black color and applied it on dark hair.
Light brown hair with a golden reddish tint. For covering gray hair on my temples, I use the medium blonde shade. I only dye my temples, matching the color perfectly. I have been using it for a year.
I purchased the shade "Medium Blonde". My hair is a medium-brown color, so I chose a shade closer to my natural hair color to try and hoped that the dye would give my hair just a different shade. And it turned out exactly like that. The shade is exactly the same as on the color chart. My hair became slightly darker and had a beautiful shine.
Therefore, I recommend it to those who want a more radical change in hair color to choose brighter shades.
I liked the dye itself: it didn't irritate my scalp (even though my scalp is sensitive and prone to seborrheic dermatitis) and didn't dry out my hair (my hair is naturally dry). The only thing is that when you rinse off the dye, it feels like your hair has clumped together and become stiff. But as soon as you start drying and styling it, they become soft and manageable (even without conditioner).
Overall, I am very satisfied and will order again, but in a different shade. I think this dye will be suitable for those who don't want to dye their hair with chemical dyes or for those with sensitive scalp.
Khadi is now my favorite henna product (previously used Henna color). The color is fantastic (natural chestnut). I switched to henna almost a year ago because even though chemical dyes have more interesting shades, they were causing irritation on my scalp (despite having my hair professionally colored with ammonia-free Loreal Professional for about 6 years). I also noticed that my hair is falling out less.
I bought a light chestnut shade for myself! My hair was dyed with natural dyes, with the roots transitioning smoothly from light chestnut to caramel, and it ended with lightened ends. This is commonly known as Ombre. I decided to switch to henna to get rid of the recently started dandruff problem. My hair is shoulder-length and thick. One pack was enough for 2 coloring sessions. I did it myself both times, and the coloring process took about 10-15 minutes. I left it on for 2 hours. The first result: my hair was very shiny, the shade turned out to be more reddish than light chestnut, and the ends were light reddish. I read reviews and suspected that the ends might turn slightly green, but that didn't happen to me. As I washed my hair, it became lighter and redder. I repeated the coloring after two weeks. And the result pleased me even more, my hair actually became light chestnut. The coverage was excellent, and the transition from dark to light is hardly noticeable. My hair became even thicker! And yes, the dandruff almost disappeared. I also bought Khadi Neem shampoo along with the dye, perhaps it also contributed to the "recovery".
I agree with Mvrina, if you want to dye your hair with regular dye, it will turn green, even after six months of washing with henna, oils, and Estel washing or lightening with powder. If it weren't for the long process of coloring and darkening the hair, I would stick with Khadi. Look at the photos, the shine and vitality of the hair.
I purchased this hair dye in the color dark brown, which is close to my natural color, as I have about 30% gray hair. I diluted it with 50-degree water following the instructions, added a teaspoon of salt, and left it on my head for exactly 2 hours. I have used this dye several times - once a month - and each time the color turned out bright and vibrant, and my hair was soft and not overly dry. Before using this dye, I used a cheap henna product which severely dried out my hair, so I stopped using henna altogether. By the way, my hair is very thin and dry at the ends, but I was more than satisfied with the results of this dye. The only thing is that on my gray hairs, the color turned out more light brown, which is not surprising. To even out the color and cover the gray hairs, I decided to use pure henna first and then apply the dark brown dye. However, during the process, I changed my mind and decided to experiment. I mixed pure henna with coffee in equal parts and poured boiling water at around 90 degrees Celsius. I left it on for 2.5 hours, and the result was a beautiful chocolate shade with a reddish tint in the sunlight. It covered the gray hairs perfectly, although they turned out more reddish. I am also very happy with this result. In the end, I will alternate between these two colors based on my preference. It is definitely not cheap, but since my hair is shoulder-length and not thick, I have enough for 3 dyeing sessions. I have been satisfied with the delivery every time - it's fast and convenient. Thank you, Make up.
I have been restoring my hair for 3 years after using this miraculous hair dye... My hair is a swampy green color and no other dye covers it! Only dark shades, which don't suit me. Anything that has been colored with this dye needs to be cut off! It gives a temporary effect of quality hair, but after a couple of months, it turns into a pumpkin and the hair becomes excessively dry! It really dries out!! Be cautious!! It contains henna and some other dyes that make it impossible to use regular dye afterwards, so the only option is to live with what you have!
The natural color of my hair is light brown. I never dyed it before, only occasionally used a mask with colorless henna. I decided to try Light Blond. I left it on for about 50 minutes. Overall, there wasn't a significant change, just a slight golden tint and the hair felt nice to touch. Maybe next time I'll choose something darker. I'm satisfied with the quality, although it's a bit expensive, but I'm aware that you have to pay for a good product. It's nice to know that one package is enough for two applications on my not-so-thick hair. The first time I used it all because I was afraid I would run out. Thank you Make up for the added wipes, it's a small detail but it's pleasant.
I chose Khadi because of its composition. The color is dark brown. I used it for thin hair with a little bit of gray. I dyed it without any additional henna coloring beforehand. The color turned out to be a natural dark brown. It has been 3 weeks since the dyeing, and the color has not faded, even though I wash my hair every three days. The gray hair is covered. The length of my hair is below the chin. There is enough dye for 2 coloring sessions. I am satisfied with the result.
Wonderful hair dye! I chose the dark brown color (my hair is dark, sun-damaged, faded to a reddish tone, damaged from frequent styling with straighteners and curling irons), mixed it with 50-degree water, just like the instructions said. Before this, I hadn't dyed my hair for about 5 months (last time was with an ammonia-free Keranove dye that washed out after 2 washes). Any dye usually doesn't take well to my hair and fades quickly, so, as instructed, I added a teaspoon of salt. Half a pack of dye was enough for my shoulder-length, medium-thick hair. The color came out even, without any reddish tones, a bit reddish in some places, but overall hardly noticeable, a noble, cool color. In daylight, it looks like a natural dark chestnut, closer to dark brown, without any redness. I rinsed it out without shampoo, styled it with a hairdryer without any additional products, and my hair looked like it had just had a luxury treatment - voluminous, alive, not frizzy, no breakage, soft, shiny, simply stunning. I can only imagine how it would look with the full range of care products like oils, sprays, and so on. Overall, I definitely recommend it. I haven't come across a better dye. The main thing is to follow the instructions. Wishing everyone beautiful and healthy hair.
This is a very good paint. It resulted in a very nice noble color, chestnut with a hint of red. I left it on my hair for 2 hours. I have a lot of gray hair, and it covered it well.
In response to Lydia - please refer to the official Khadi website, where you will find detailed instructions on how to use and apply the product, along with information about the desired color result and color palette.
I initially bought a light brown shade, but it turned out to be more like a reddish color. So, I decided to try a dark brown shade, and the color was beautiful. However, after washing my hair three times, I noticed that I became red-haired again. Unfortunately, the color fades very quickly.
I chose the dark chestnut color. Before, I used a henna-based dye, but it was only copper-colored. My natural roots gradually started growing chestnut, so I wanted to even out the hair color. The dye worked well, and I darkened my hair, but there is still a reddish shade where my hair was previously dyed copper. The color evened out, and now I have a pleasant chestnut-copper tone. The dye took well and spread evenly. My hair became slightly dry after coloring, but I later resolved this dryness with my favorite Mirra shampoo. The price is a bit high though. For my medium-length hair, I used 60-70 grams of dye, so if I decide to dye my hair again, I'll have to buy a whole package, as I won't have enough leftover. I followed the recommended water temperature for brewing the dye, which was 50 degrees Celsius.
I chose the color "natural chestnut". My hair was previously dyed with chemical dye, and I have about 20-30% gray hair, only at the roots. I dyed it all in one step, and the gray roots turned slightly greenish, but the rest of my hair took on a beautiful natural chestnut color with reddish tones, just as I wanted. My hair looks lively and shiny. For the second time, I dyed the roots with regular cheap henna, and then applied Khadi henna. The roots were colored properly this time. It has been two weeks since I dyed my hair, and I wash my head every day. The dye fades, but not too much, and the roots still look normal. I am satisfied with Khadi henna, the only downside is the price.
Ladies, please advise me on how to cover my gray hair and achieve a beautiful and even dark brown color, preferably with a chocolate undertone, without any reddish hues. Should I go for chestnut or dark brown? I've heard that chestnut tends to add some redness, but I want to avoid that.
I have 30% gray hair in the front on my temples. I do a two-step coloring process using pure henna, brewed with not just plain water, but natural coffee made in a Turkish pot. I add cinnamon and a teaspoon of lemon juice to the mixture. I applied the dye to the roots of my hair, but it still colored more of my hair than needed because of the cap. The main color turned out to be amber due to the darkening effect of the pure henna. The result is that the gray hair is completely and effectively covered, with a beautiful amber shade. I also use Khadi oil and castor oil on the ends of my hair to combat dryness. Making the coffee-based dye gives a very beautiful shade, color, and shine. However, pure henna should be brewed at 80 degrees Celsius, while light brown henna should not exceed 50 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is lower, it will turn green. I place the clay bowl with the dye in warm water to maintain the temperature. And for pure henna, after preparing it, I leave it in a warm place for half an hour to let it settle like dough. The brown henna should cool down to a comfortable temperature, and you can place it in warm water to start coloring. I always add a teaspoon of salt to any dye, and for pure henna, I add both salt and a teaspoon of lemon juice to help the dye develop.
Excellent natural hair dye! I have been using it for half a year. I really like it! The hair shines, the appearance looks healthier. The color range is very natural.
Girls, read about how to properly dilute and dye your hair with the right temperature on the Khadi website. It's not correct to turn green - probably because you poured boiling water instead of using a thermometer at 50 degrees. A second dyeing will even out the color and improve the condition of damaged hair. But remember to wait 3-4 weeks before dyeing again and not exceed 1 hour of application time.
This is an excellent natural hair dye. I chose the light brown shade. I applied it for one hour with a cap and plastic wrap. The result is great - it covered my gray hair and gave my hair a beautiful shine. It also reduced the frizz at the ends of my hair. The color becomes more vibrant after 3 days. To the dye mixture, I added one teaspoon of salt and used water at a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius. I used half a package for shoulder-length hair.
I highly recommend this hair dye for those who love a copper-red hair color. This is already my fourth time purchasing it. No one believes that I dye my hair; they think it's my natural color! My hair shines beautifully and looks healthy, which I absolutely love.
The henna is ordinary, I bought it colorless, so I can't evaluate the result of dyeing. But the effect of hair strengthening disappears after the next wash.
Three months ago, I switched from ammonia-based hair dye to natural dye. Khadi is the best choice. It has an excellent consistency and is very easy to comb through, just like a cream dye. As a result, every strand of hair is beautifully colored. This is particularly important to me as I have long and curly hair. Overall, I will only be using Khadi from now on.
The quality of the paint is excellent, giving hair a vibrant shine. The color gains strength over the course of 3 days. I personally only use the dark brown Hadi paint.
