Floris Lily Eau de Toilette

A balanced floral fragrance, both warm and bright, that leaves a gentle yet lasting trail. Inspired by the lily of the valley, perfumer Caterina Catalani sought to preserve its natural essence. The freshness of dew-kissed flowers is enhanced by notes of Egyptian jasmine and Bulgarian rose. Sparkling white tea notes lend the fragrance a pleasant sense of purity, while the woody-musky base notes return a soft warmth to the skin. The inspiration for creating Lily Eau de Toilette 100 ml came from ancient folklore stories linked to the lily of the valley, which has been cultivated for over 400 years and symbolizes renewal, purity, love, and happiness. It evokes memories of the traditional celebration of Beltane, a festival in honor of the Queen of Summer, elegantly dressed in soft white lace against a cloud of lilies of the valley, welcoming the new season and its bright days. Dancers move to the rhythm of the music, celebrating the lengthening days and ensuring a bountiful harvest for the season.

In creating "Lily of the Valley," we aimed to convey the simple beauty and delicate fragility of blooming lily of the valley, envisioning a striking landscape of morning dew in a serene garden in the English countryside during springtime. Lily of the valley blooms in early May, coinciding with the folk tradition of Morris dancing. Lily embodies the joy and exuberance of this ancient English tradition, and its floral notes evoke the spring bloom, green meadows, and the harmonious chirping of birds.
