Just an ordinary cheap plastic. I do not recommend it.
I fell for the marketing. The design is nice and everything, in principle. Each of them has a different degree of stretch, some are very weak, some are too tight. It doesn't hold light, thin, and flowing hair very well.
These hold very firmly. Compared to the same brand's previous product that I bought, it's like night and day. If they happen to crack in the near future, I will update this comment.

These are the best hairpins I have ever had. They are stylish and hold really well. Even though they are small in size for long hair, I twist my bun and use several of them, and it holds perfectly.
