I really liked this perfume. I bought it because I read that it is similar to the Julia perfume, which is not available now. It has some similarities, but it's not exactly the same. There's something missing.

The fragrance is extraordinary, unlike anything else.
If applied only to clothing, it opens up with flowers and sweet-honey fruits, soft aldehydes, and sandalwood.
However, if applied to the skin, you may encounter some "unpleasantness" as the warmth of the body brings out a considerable dose of animalic notes. Even in this case, it is still very good because civet does not overpower the other notes and remains within the realm of perfume attractiveness.
In my opinion, the fragrance is highly underrated, but it is only suitable for perfume enthusiasts and experimenters to buy without testing. Since civet is rarely used in modern perfume compositions, it is better for those unfamiliar with this note to first familiarize themselves with it, so they don't end up "disliking" the fragrance.
In summary, the scent is amazing! It may be an acquired taste, but both my spouse and I (which is the most pleasant part) really liked the fragrance, even though it was purchased blindly, so to speak. Generally, what is characteristic of Joop is that it doesn't reveal itself immediately, but after a few hours. The longevity is simply astonishing, it lasts on clothes for several days, and for the price, the quality is much higher in my opinion.
P.S. I have been using Joop Homme for several years during the winter, so I know what I'm talking about.
