Great roller. It's really heavy. I have a similar one made of stone, but this one is much lighter. It is very well made. I took out both the stone and metal roller from the refrigerator, and the Real Techniques roller stays cold for a longer time.
The roller is fantastic. It is made of high quality and the handle is made of a material that doesn't cool down as much as the roller balls do when kept in the refrigerator, so it is comfortable to use. However, it is not necessary to cool it down - the metal is always cold and glides perfectly on dry skin as well as on skin with cream or serum. It doesn't squeak and spins excellently (there are pads). I bought two pieces - massaging with both at the same time is much more effective than using one first on the right, then on the left... It didn't crack or break when dropped - it is not made of stone.
