Not all fragrances need to be bold, provocative, or loud to make an impact—sometimes, it's the refined and harmonious scents that truly stand out. Such is the case with Etro Vetiver perfume, characterized by its smoky, earthy, dry, and woody vetiver essence. This fragrance unfolds subtly on the skin throughout the day, delighting with its measured sophistication.
The initial notes open with nuances of musk sage, known for its soothing and tonifying properties. Egyptian vetiver and Calabrian cedar blend harmoniously in the "heart" notes, showcasing a light resinous quality, a bitter smokiness, dryness, and a rich restraint. In the fragrance's wake, tobacco leaf emerges, bringing its unique slightly spicy, a tad sharp, and captivating scent.
I bought this for my husband, hoping that it would somewhat resemble Creed Vetiver. I was completely disappointed. Instead of that, it smells like an autumn forest, and it is not long-lasting at all. It fades away within just 10 minutes! So disappointing.
The fragrance has a pleasant forest scent. At first, it is slightly sharp, reminiscent of the smell of burnt logs and scorched grass. However, after just a minute, the notes of tobacco, vetiver, and the forest seem to recede, leaving a delicate lingering sensation on the skin. I really liked this fragrance; it became my signature scent.
Forest. The scent of warm moist earth. A coven of witches. A cauldron with potions - valerian, tobacco... A black cat. Smoke from a dying bonfire. The coolness of a summer evening...
In general, I am in love with it... unexpectedly and forever.
The fragrance is wonderful. I really like it when my husband uses it, although I bought it for myself. It is delicate and unusual, with notes of tobacco, herbs, and cedar, all in elegant proportions. It's simply delightful. I mostly see it as a masculine scent, but I don't exclude the possibility of wearing it myself depending on my mood, as I really like it.
