Tampons and pads can be harmful to a woman's intimate health as the former contain aggressive chemicals used for bleaching, and the latter are made from petroleum derivatives and silicon granules. Additionally, both hygiene products create optimal conditions for the proliferation of pathogenic microflora. Therefore, the MeLuna brand's menstrual cup with a ball is an excellent eco-friendly alternative to both. It is made from a thermoplastic elastomer, popular in the medical industry, which is very flexible, does not irritate mucous membranes, and has a low allergenic potential.

Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods, so you can experiment and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. The cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it is properly positioned. If unsure, feel the base of the cup; it should be round or oval when correctly inserted. If you detect any dents, it means the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try rotating it to create a suction seal. Once inserted, try tugging slightly on the stem. If you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully in place!
