If you're unsure, feel the base of the cup - it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice any dents or creases, it means the cup has not fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to twist it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently tug on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is correctly inserted!
