Vitamin C is one of all-time favourite vitamins, well-known for its important role in supporting a healthy immune system. When it comes to skincare, its ability to protect, correct and enhance the skin is equally amazing. The easy way to take full advantage of the vitamin C’s benefits is to try the skincare product designed by The Ordinary brand. A word of caution, though: whilst vitamin C is generally pretty safe and well-tolerated, those with sensitive skin may experience some irritation.
Benefits of The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%:
- suitable for all skin types;
- has a water-free formula;
- enriched with Hyaluronic acid for added hydration;
- reduces fine lines and wrinkles;
- helps to reduce and lighten hyperpigmentation;
- stimulates the production of collagen and elastin responsible for firm skin;
- reduces free radical damage;
- silicone-free.-
Apply a small amount to the face once daily, ideally in the evening. A tingling sensation can be expected; if the sensation is too strong, the formula can be mixed with other oils of your preference before each application to reduce the strength. If irritation occurs, rinse off, cease use, and consult a physician. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Use sun protection during the day.

It doesn't fully absorb, leaving a greasy film. It can sting. It didn't work for my face, but I use it to lighten and even out the skin on my legs, and it works great there.
I didn't buy it here, but it's a 100% original product from the USA, so I'll leave a review! Ladies, this is a disaster. I have normal skin that tends to be slightly dry sometimes, and I have no issues. This thing is very greasy (I use it at night), it doesn't come off at all, and it also burns a lot. There are granules that feel like a scrub when applied. Simply put, it's a 1 out of 10. If you can endure the pain and not wash it off, leaving it overnight, there is one plus - your skin will be soft in the morning, BUT it's not worth it at all.
Overall, I like this brand and I use more than half of their skincare products. However, I will look for a different brand specifically for vitamin C. This product does not absorb well and tends to roll off the skin, leaving a constant feeling of dirt on my face throughout the day. Additionally, the scent is not pleasant and reminds me of dirty rags.
After being educated and familiarized with the compositions of mesococtails, I disregarded the negative reviews about fractionated mesotherapy, even on impeccable products. I purchased this wonderful product with a professionally composed percentage, which is quite difficult to find. I am extremely satisfied as it leaves my skin perfectly smooth, delicate, and brightens all imperfections (spots, etc.). However, this does not mean that everyone can apply it to their skin and then complain. Take some time to study it if your skin is very sensitive to even the slightest acids, as the percentage is high and it requires understanding of the compositions to dilute it. Definitely deserving of a full 5 stars. I hope this product will stay available in our beloved online store.
I have been using acids for about 7 years. And only with this product did I manage to burn my skin after just 2 applications. Not only did I get dry and red skin that was itchy and flaking like a snake, but I also broke out like a teenager, which I haven't experienced in over 10 years. Moreover, the consistency is really strange - it has lumps and feels greasy. It's like mixing soda with oil. Be careful, even though I did a patch test, it didn't protect me. If your skin is sensitive to the ingredients, it's better not to use it. I didn't expect this from this brand.
I didn't buy it here, but I'll leave a review.
I tried this product several times and was disappointed. I initially bought it as a body treatment, but I won't be repurchasing it and I don't recommend it to anyone.
The skin on my face burns a lot upon application, even more than products with vitamin C and acidic pH. However, my skin is used to acids (glycolic, lactic, and even the red peel from The Ordinary) and is not overly sensitive.
The serum's base is squalane, which makes my skin softer by morning. I liked that, but the vitamin C itself is in a very high concentration, so it irritates my skin.
The texture is also unpleasant, but if it weren't for the burning sensation, I would continue using it. That's not the biggest downside though.
I recommend using gentler and safer products for the face. However, I'll give it another chance as a body treatment and use it on my back to see if it can lighten pigmentation after breakouts.
I didn't buy it here, but I'll write a review :) I used it 6-7 times. I didn't understand the effect. The consistency is terrible, so I can't use it regularly. Maybe the product is great if you go through a course, but you need strong nerves for that. It makes my face very oily, with small particles in the mixture. It's impossible to cover it with cream because they just mix together and it doesn't absorb on its own or with cream on top. In the morning, my pillow feels sour and my hair becomes oily. It's just inconvenient, that's all :)
I didn't notice any effect, just a terrible burning sensation on my face.
I have normal skin with a few small post-acne spots.
After using the serum, it didn't fulfill its purpose, none of the post-acne spots lightened.
I only used half of it, and I won't buy it again. I didn't like the consistency, it was a liquid emulsion with powdered vitamin C. There is discomfort when applying it because the particles irritate the skin. However, it did help with skin pigmentation.
I have been using this serum for about a week. I have combination, non-sensitive skin with very pronounced pigmentation. The pigmentation appears in the summer and is very persistent. I constantly use acid-based skincare products with varying concentrations, so my skin is accustomed to it.
This serum, or rather suspension, contains a high concentration of vitamin C, so it may cause a stinging sensation if the skin is not accustomed to acids. It can be mixed with other skincare products to reduce the concentration and minimize the stinging sensation.
After a week of use, I see a fantastic effect - the pigmentation has significantly lightened. I have never seen such quick and visible results before, despite having experience with many brightening products and procedures.
In terms of effectiveness, it's excellent and a must-try for those who suffer from pigmentation.
As for the texture, it transforms into an oily consistency upon contact with the skin and contains fine particles. I used it as an addition to my morning skincare routine (although the description says it can be used in the morning and evening, the manufacturer recommends using it as an evening treatment). The serum is a bit greasy, so it definitely cannot be used as a makeup base. I always make sure to apply SPF50 on top of it. I am still testing it in different variations - using it alone or mixing it with other products, but I haven't found the perfect method for myself yet. Maybe I will ultimately use it as an evening treatment.
In conclusion, the product is excellent in terms of its effect and brightening properties. The only issue is with the texture, but it's something that can be adjusted to.
I applied it at night on acne-prone areas, following the recommendations. I constantly felt a burning sensation. The last time I used it, my face started itching unbearably - it felt like a facial burn. It has been three days, and the discomfort still hasn't gone away.
Amazing serum. It feels greasy and there seems to be sand in it. I won't be buying it again.
I have normal skin that tends to be dry. I use it several times a week, only at night.
The texture is greasy and honestly unpleasant, although I'm not very picky about this.
The results are mediocre, it slightly evens out the skin tone.
I won't repurchase it, I'll try a serum with vitamin C instead.
It is really cool, just a little bit tingling. I liked that it can be used as a standalone product, after using it, I don't feel like applying cream anymore.
The product is good, I have been using it for over a week, every other day. It is not recommended for sensitive skin, as it slightly irritates my combination skin. Overall, the product is good as it removes pigmentation spots, even after a few uses, the results are noticeable.
I had read a lot about this product and expected it to be like sand, but I could barely feel it. It is fine-grained and barely noticeable, unlike the rough texture I was anticipating. I really liked it. Before using this serum, I had been using natural and Korean cosmetics, but after using this serum, my face looks amazing. I haven't had such a healthy complexion since I was 12 years old (I'm 22 now). I apply it at night and it's perfect for that, although it's too heavy for makeup during the day. It has helped heal my wounds and even got rid of a pimple that had been there for about a month. It works instantly on my wounds. I love it and will definitely repurchase it.
I purchased the suspension elsewhere, but I want to leave my review here. This suspension has a liquid texture with a slightly greasy substance in which there is powder. You apply it to your face and massage it into the skin. The first and second use made my skin red and tingly, but then it went away. It tingles a little when used after some time. The suspension does not absorb. It remains on the skin as a thin, greasy layer. But the effect... It's amazing! I've been fighting pigmentation for a long time. I'm always searching for good products. There's a lot of Korean stuff in skincare. But after using this suspension, I really saw results and fairly quickly. The pigmented spots on my forehead have almost lightened. They are hardly noticeable now. I can confidently go without using foundation. Overall, my skin looks much better in the morning. The lightening of pigmentation is impressive. The spider veins are gone. It also moisturizes the face. I am very happy with these results. The cream may stain the bedding orange. It's preferable to let it absorb for an hour or two before going to bed. I will definitely purchase it again.
I bought it not for makeup, but I see many negative reviews, so I need to correct them. I have almost used up my entire tube. At first, I didn't really like the serum. It felt greasy, almost oily, and the particles were small. I didn't understand how it worked. But now, after completing the course, so to speak, I can see the results. If I want a fresh look in the morning, I use it. Vitamin C is very beneficial for the skin. After applying it, it may sting if your skin is not accustomed to acids, especially at a high concentration. This is only for those who regularly use acids in their skincare routine or have non-sensitive skin. My mom's skin burned terribly upon first application, so she had to wash it off. Sometimes, I also feel a slight tingling around the eye area, but now my skin has gotten used to it. In the morning, after using it, the combination of squalane and vitamin C gives a magical result. It evens out the tone, moisturizes the skin, and gives it a radiant glow. Squalane supports and restores collagen levels, while vitamin C effectively regenerates skin cells. Therefore, I can recommend it only to those who are willing to endure a bit of discomfort but want to see results, and who have non-sensitive, non-allergic, or undamaged skin. Keep in mind that if you have open wounds, it will sting, just like rubbing lemon on them.
This is not a serum, but a microdermabrasion. When you apply it on your face... the word "smear" does not fit. And I noticed that it clogs the pores, adding to the charm of its application. I can't wait for it to be finished. I don't know about its effects on the skin as I don't use it systematically. After this purchase, I am unlikely to buy anything else from this company.
I didn't buy it here, but I would like to add a positive review so as not to discourage potential buyers from this great product. The biggest drawback of this suspension is its consistency, which is a bit oily with fine "sand" particles. Therefore, it's best to apply it an hour before bedtime to avoid it rubbing off on the pillow. You can also mix a little bit of it into your regular cream. I only use it every other evening. In the morning, it's important to use SPF. I am willing to overlook any inconveniences because of its effectiveness.
The texture of the skin is indeed smoothed out by this serum, but I have never in my life experienced such a clogging of pores as I did while using it.
I have been using the serum for only 3 days (before bed) and I can already see results! Now I understand what "adds radiance to the skin" means. The only thing is that my skin has a reaction to the serum, but I hope that with time my skin will get used to it.
I remember the first time I applied it: the next morning all my skin flakes simply disappeared. It was shocking. It wonderfully evens out the skin texture, making it soft and radiant, moisturizes well, evens out the tone, but practically doesn't lighten spots and freckles, so I don't recommend it for those who specifically want it for such purposes. It doesn't oxidize, of course, because there is no way it could.
My advice: use it at night, and you can skip applying cream on top, especially when it is very nourishing, unless you have very dry skin, otherwise you will feel heaviness on the skin. And don't pay attention to the tingling sensation, of course, unless it is too strong, this effect quickly fades away.
