This is my first serum with niacinamide. I bought it because I had small pimples from my neck to my cheeks. I have been using it for a month and the pimples disappeared (which was very unexpected, I didn't really count on it), the pores became smaller, and the skin looks denser. Ladies, it works just like acids – for 3-5 days, pimples that weren't there before appear, all the underlying gunk comes out, then everything clears up and the skin is clean. I also bought the moisturizing gel cream from the same brand.
This is my first serum with niacinamide. I bought it because I had small pimples from my neck to my cheeks. This is my first time ordering any serum, and I got really lucky with this one! I've been using it for five days now, and I can already see results. My hair started growing faster (I was expecting it to grow faster, but to see a difference in just five days is amazing!). However, the issue of hair loss was quite concerning. When I washed my hair, a lot of it would fall out, really a lot, to the point where it became scary. But after using this serum, my hair hardly falls out anymore, maybe just a couple of strands, that's it. I highly recommend it!
I have not used it yet, so I cannot say anything about the product. The packaging was intact, but the bottle itself opened very easily (giving the impression that it had already been opened before). The silicone thingy is yellow, and there is something unclear on the bottle itself (resembling a stain from super glue).
I didn't buy it here. I really liked this serum. My skin became perfect, my pores tightened, and breakouts reduced. My skin even started to glow. The only thing I didn't like is that it leaves a bit of stickiness on the face, so I only used it at night. I am very satisfied with the effect.
I didn't order it here, but I still want to leave a review. The serum is effective, after a week of use, it lightened post-acne marks and visually reduced pore size. My skin feels elastic and healthy, and most importantly, it doesn't get as oily throughout the day (I have oily skin). It's a top find for me.
The fuel consumption is quite economical, it lasted for 3.5 months, but I didn't see any results from the serum. It has a specific smell.
After using it, closed comedones appeared and started to become inflamed. It leaves a sticky feeling on the face.
I didn't buy it here, supposedly it's not bad, but it rolls down very easily.
I didn't buy it here, but the product didn't impress me. At first, the stickiness was concerning. After using this serum, my skin started to become horribly greasy, even though I hadn't had this problem before. Acne appeared. I went back to Sane's niacinamide and my skin returned to normal again.
I really liked the product, it doesn't leave any residue after use.
I didn't buy it here, but I want to share my impressions. I was initially skeptical, thinking it was just marketing and good product advertising. But girls, I periodically break out, and it's scary to imagine how many products I've tried in my skincare routine. And these breakouts only appear on my cheeks, they take a long time to heal, closed comedones appear and pores become enlarged on my nose and cheeks. Sometimes, very painful deep breakouts occur. After all this, I'm left with spots that stay on my face for months. Recently, I had another breakout, and I used the Bielenda tonic, a tonic with salicylic acid and niacinamide. Sometimes I alternated in the morning with niacinamide and in the evening with a serum with vitamin C, Q+A. But the main effect I got was from the niacinamide. The difference in the photos is in 3 days. However, it did dry out my skin a little bit for some reason.
I didn't buy it here, but what I want to say is that, based on the reviews, in order to achieve the "wow" effect you expect, you need to use a combination of products and stop eating chips and other snacks that can cause breakouts (in other words, remove harmful food from your diet, partially or completely). In the morning, I use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution, and in the evening, The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane. Plus, let's not forget that before applying, it is necessary to thoroughly cleanse the skin and that simply washing your face with water is not enough. There are three stages of cleansing: hydrophilic oil, foam or gel cleanser, and toner. Only after that, you can calmly apply the serums. And after applying acid serums or any acid-containing products in your skincare routine, you need to apply SPF cream. I want to tell you that the effect is truly "wow." The skin has become firm and radiant, breakouts have disappeared, and if they did appear, it was only a few during PMS. The skin tone has become even, and the skin looks healthy. I even stopped using foundation, at most I use BB cream when necessary. So I highly recommend it. And most importantly, when you introduce acids into your daily skincare routine, the skin may initially react with more breakouts, as it is purifying. BUT before using them, it is better to consult a dermatologist and find a skincare routine that suits you specifically.
I purchased this product abroad, not here. It is a good serum that effectively dries out breakouts and overall improves the appearance of the skin. I used it for a while, and now I can't use any makeup... Even the lightest shade of foundation oxidizes and I end up looking like an orange... Can you please advise if there is any way to fix this?
I didn't buy this product here, but I ordered it from the official representative. Unfortunately, this product didn't work for me at all. It had no effect on my oily and breakout-prone skin. I used it every morning as part of my routine and almost finished the whole jar, but there were no results whatsoever. I also tried the niacinamide from the Sane brand, and I must say that I liked it much more. It was better in terms of application, effects, and it was also much cheaper.
"I bought this serum elsewhere, but it worked really well for me. It doesn't give you an immediate wow effect where you wake up with glowing skin, but after some time, you notice that breakouts and pimples have significantly reduced, and your skin overall looks more even. The only downside is that it runs out quickly."
I have been using it for a month, unfortunately, I haven't noticed any effect. I bought it together with The Ordinary moisturizing cream.
When applying it, it stings, even when there are no visible damages to the skin. It tightens and dries out my oily skin, especially in the nose area. It feels slightly sticky after application, which I find unpleasant on the skin. I can confirm that it has a mattifying effect. However, I prefer when my skin feels moisturized and soft, rather than polished.
It's just not for me. The serum didn't do anything bad, but it also didn't do anything good.
My boyfriend and I both use this product. I personally didn't have any problems with my skin, just occasional breakouts, but ever since using this serum, they don't appear anymore and my face is significantly less oily. My boyfriend has acne, but now there are hardly any inflamed areas, so the effects of the serum are noticeable. I will definitely be purchasing more.
I haven't noticed any special changes, I've been using it for about a month, and it hasn't made anything worse or better. The only thing I don't like is that it tends to peel off under the cream. I've tried applying the cream immediately and after a few minutes of drying, but it still peels off. I didn't buy it from the website.
The best basic serum for oily and problematic skin.
Cursed be the day I purchased this item. I had been struggling with acne for almost a year, using systemic retinoids to treat it. Everything was going well and my skin was improving until I decided to try and minimize my pores and even out my complexion. That's when I bought this product. And then the real nightmare began... I started breaking out with pimples. I tried to continue using it, thinking that this reaction might be normal at first, but after 2 months, things only got worse, not better. I had to stop using it, but the pimples didn't go away. I had to go back to the doctor and try medication to treat them. Maybe it was just my skin, but I definitely do not recommend it. Be cautious before using it.
Ladies, don't bother with this! Don't waste your money! The Belendov serums are much more effective and superior!
I ordered a second bottle, but to be honest, I don't notice any significant changes in my skin. Yes, it causes less breakouts, but I'm not sure if it's solely due to this product.
I used half a bottle of this product. There were absolutely no changes to my skin, no claimed or unclaimed effects. I used it with toner, on freshly cleansed skin, under moisturizer, without moisturizer, only during the day, twice a day, every other day, alternating with hyaluronic acid.
The serum did not address any skin imperfections, did not add any new ones (as they claim), did not cause any breakouts, did not reduce pore size, and did not make my skin more even or brighter.
I have sensitive combination skin (used to be oily, now closer to normal with dry cheeks, but the pores are still visibly large). I thought this product would help minimize them, but nothing happens. I also have some slightly noticeable post-acne marks that the product didn't have any effect on either.
Maybe there's a special method of application that makes it work? Because in the comments, people claim that the serum somehow works for everyone except me.
This serum is excellent, it effectively reduces breakouts.
The serum is wonderful, simply amazing. I have extremely oily skin. I previously tried the niacinamide from Sane at 7%, but I didn't feel any effect. Although the concentration here is not much higher than Sane's, this ordinary serum has proven itself very well. I apply it in the evening, and in the morning my face is dry, there is no sebum.
The serum itself is quite thick. If you apply too much, it can feel heavy on the face and form clumps. But if you do it right, this won't happen. I didn't notice a significant pore tightening effect, but it completely conquered the oiliness.
I ordered this serum from the official representative, but it did something terrible to my face. Before using it, I only had 2-3 pimples, but after a month of usage, my whole face broke out. There was no improvement at all, only a worsening of the condition.
I didn't buy it here, but I can recommend it. I was recommended this serum by a cosmetologist because I have deep pores on my cheeks. I saw results after just 10 days, and after a month, my skin became perfectly even. I am very satisfied. I used 3 drops every morning. It lasted for 3 months. It doesn't sting, doesn't dry out, and absorbs quickly.
Unfortunately, this serum did not work for me. Before using it, my face was almost free of breakouts, but now I have numerous. I used it for a month and was hoping for improvement, but it only got worse. It's really a shame, as this product is not suitable for everyone. I ordered it from somewhere else.
I didn't buy it here. This is a great product for oily skin as it regulates the sebaceous glands so well that I even forgot about the oily shine in the summer, even though my skin is excessively oily. However, the product dries out the skin, so it is necessary to always follow up with a moisturizer when using it.
The serum is simply wonderful as a makeup base and has incredible sebum-regulating abilities. It did not even out the skin texture and did not make small pimples disappear. However, it was not bad when applied directly on inflamed pimples and the effect was actually real.
Rated 20 out of 10, but there is one catch: it needs to be used in conjunction with acids and peels. I personally use it with Ordinary's almond acid, and the results are simply amazing. My face has cleared up from breakouts, the skin tone has evened out, and the oiliness has reduced.
Unfortunately, this product did not work for me at all. I had just cleared my face from breakouts, and this serum ruined everything. Now, three blemishes are proudly displayed on half of my face.
Not bad, but I won't be repeating it for now. There's no need to expect any special effects.
The serum is amazing! It effectively dries out and lightens post-acne marks.
I absolutely love this serum, but this time I have suspicions about the authenticity of the product. The appearance of the new bottle is different from the previous one. I don't want to accuse Makeup, but could you please explain?
I really liked it, as I had a lot of pimples and blackheads, but they started to fade away after using this product. Now, my facial skin is less oily, my pores are not as deep, and my complexion has become more even. The pimples have disappeared. I am almost out of the bottle, so I will definitely buy more. Looking forward to its availability.
No effect at all. It leaves stickiness, and because of it, the foundation clings to it, even if I apply moisturizer and makeup primer on top. The greasiness remains the same as before. I understand that it won't change my skin type, but I was hoping for some kind of effect. I'm disappointed. I won't order it again.
My first experience with this serum - so there is nothing to compare it to. At first, I let my skin get used to it, applying it every other day for a week. Then every evening. Overall, I am enjoying it so far, as it effectively dries out all breakouts. I have dry skin, so I always apply a thick cream about 15-20 minutes later. The breakouts clear up within a few days.
I haven't noticed any super effects yet. I use it every day before bedtime. I haven't experienced any new breakouts, burns, etc. (I have combination skin), so maybe it slightly soothes and dries out. If the results continue to be stable, I will buy it again, because before this, it was difficult for me to find something worthwhile.
I'm not sure about the effectiveness yet, but the jar arrived not completely full. Maybe it's supposed to be like that, but it made me suspicious.
I am writing a review for those who understand how to use a zinc serum and why it is needed.
The serum is amazing! It perfectly dries out inflammations and prevents new ones from appearing. It is important to understand that after using it, you should follow up with a moisturizing cream, otherwise, your skin will feel tight and dry, but that's normal!
Definitely recommended for problematic skin prone to oiliness!
Oh, and niacinamide in the composition provides ideal additional hydration before applying a lightweight cream.
She's cool, but after using it I had an even worse reaction.
I didn't buy it here, but I would like to leave a review. This serum is a real find. My skin improved dramatically in just 2-3 weeks. The product effectively deals with redness and inflammation, preventing their occurrence. I applied it every evening. Just a few drops are needed, no more (otherwise it becomes sticky). I used it for 4 months. I definitely recommend it!
The serum did not work for me.
I love ordinary products, but I didn't understand this serum. It doesn't mattify my skin or reduce oiliness, and a few hours after applying it (along with the Ordinary NMF cream and mineral powder), my face becomes shiny. It also didn't have any effect on the amount of breakouts (on my chin). It's difficult to use a product for several weeks without any results, so I switched back to the 12% ascorbic serum and Matrixyl, which showed noticeable effects after just a few uses.
Unfortunately, it didn't work out and caused a lot of small breakouts all over the forehead.
The skin has become smoother and noticeably lightens post-acne and pigmentation. I will buy more when it runs out.
I have almost finished the entire jar, but I haven't noticed any results. I used it once a day in the morning, under my cream.
The serum truly mattifies the skin, slightly brightens it, and has a slight lifting effect. It doesn't leave any stickiness on the skin, doesn't conflict with the NMF cream from The Ordinary, and doesn't clump on the face. However, I wouldn't say that it is effective against breakouts. I think products with azelaic or salicylic acid would be more appropriate in such cases.
The main problem with my skin is post-acne, oily T-zone, blackheads on my nose and chin, occasional comedones, and a sensitive area on my cheeks (closer to the neck). After two months of daily use, I noticed a decrease in sebum and slight lightening in problem areas.
Will I buy it again? It's hard to say for now, but I was expecting a more effective result from it.
I absolutely love this serum and how effectively it works on my oily, problem skin. I apply it in the morning and at night, and as a result, my skin is clear from breakouts and red inflammations, with minimized pores. I used to use Efeclar Duo+ before, but now this serum is my favorite. Thank you, makeup, for continuously expanding your brand assortment and for the high-quality, speedy delivery. ❤️
I have been using this product for 7 months. I haven't seen any results, and it doesn't lighten post-acne marks. The only positive thing is that it mattifies the skin and is economical (30ml lasts for 7-8 months if used twice a day).
The most effective product for my problematic combination skin. Immediately after application, the skin turns red, but in the morning - magic! In just a few nights, you can restore the skin on the cheeks after any breakouts. However, it excessively dries out the skin on the neck, so I only apply it on my cheeks (where the skin is not oily, but normal).
This serum is amazing. I have quite problematic combination skin. This winter I started using The Ordinary products. Currently, this serum is very effective and great. I have their glycolic acid toner, but you cannot apply any acid under this serum. Niacinamide does not like acidity. It is necessary to always follow up with a moisturizer for the serum to work. That's why I add a few drops of their rosehip oil to my simple moisturizer. My skin is very fair, but I always have some redness, acne, and uneven tone on my face apart from the actual pimples. So, this serum and their oil are a lifesaver for me. This serum truly evens out the skin tone, works on post-acne, and of course, on the pimples themselves. I haven't noticed any changes in my pores. But this serum should only be applied at night. I don't understand people who try to use it under makeup. It doesn't even moisturize, but rather tightens a bit. And it feels sticky on the face itself. But for me, this product is purely medicinal. So, these nuances are not critical for me. In short, give it a try. Many people say they notice the results when it's almost finished. However, I didn't buy it here. There are several Ukrainian websites that are official representatives of The Ordinary. I bought it for 200 UAH.
Honestly, I didn't notice any result after using it for 3 weeks. I tried applying it both locally and all over my face, but the result was zero.
I tried this serum for the first time a year ago and experienced some minor breakouts, with little improvement. However, from the first use, I saw results! It really helped clear up those breakouts, and now my face is completely clean. I also started using peels, toners, moisturizers, and serums from this line, and my skin is grateful. I have been using this serum for about a year now, although not consistently every day, and I am satisfied with the results!
I have tried a huge amount of cosmetics. Then I went to a cosmetologist for laser peels, carboxytherapy, and facial cleansing. I have never seen such a horrible face before. I was horrified after my last visit to the cosmetologist. Anyway, my friend recommended this serum to me, and I was amazed, girls. Personally, I can see results after the second use. It hasn't completely removed post-acne yet, but my face, sorry, is smooth. I am extremely delighted.
I know how niacinamide works on my skin. It's like a magical wand that comes to the rescue. I am aware that it gets deactivated by vitamin C. There is a specially formulated cream to seal in the niacinamide serum. Previously, I was using a Korean product that has been discontinued.
Very good serum: it does not sting, moisturizes, evens out skin tone, and helps heal wounds.
