Thank you for your review.
I want to start by saying that I bought this product for my makeup. However, I still want to leave a review because there is nothing left from the old version except the name. The texture is quite dry on the skin and the coverage is average, around 3 out of 5. It looks natural and pretty, and it feels lightweight as a foundation. However, the shade is terrible. It initially appears light, but then oxidizes to a rusty garage color, which is definitely not cool.
I have been using Mary Kay foundation for about 15 years now, and one tube lasts me around 3-4 years. I am very satisfied with it, so I didn't even risk changing to another brand. Since the last time I purchased, they had a different line, and I had the shade beige 3. I found a conversion chart for the new line, and it said my shade would correspond to beige C 110 from the options provided. That's what I ordered, specifically the matte version. And I didn't make a mistake, the shade matches perfectly, it applies just as precisely as before, and it conceals and adjusts to the skin flawlessly without standing out. I am very happy that even during difficult times, I can still order my favorite product. Many of my acquaintances who used to sell this brand stopped, so I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find this shade anywhere. Thank you, Mary Kay!
"My best foundation! I am always asked what I use because it applies so perfectly! I have been using it for 5 years and it is perfect for my combination skin with oily shine. The shade Ivory #160 is like my second skin! I am very fair. It's a shame that the price has increased so much."
The previous version was my favorite, but this updated one is a complete failure!
I have dry/normal skin, but I do get breakouts.
I used it specifically on problem areas, it was super economical, it lasted almost the whole day, and I never ran out of product before the expiration date. I always only used this for full coverage.
I was skeptical about the update (why update something that was already great?) and it was not in vain. It's a complete disaster.
The application is strange, it covers like a BB cream, layering does nothing except create a mask-like effect, I have to find a new shade because it doesn't match the old ones, and it disappears from my face throughout the day. The only plus is that it doesn't oxidize. I threw it away after a week of struggling with it... I was very disappointed. And I had been using it for over 10 years...
I bought the Too Faced concealer for full coverage, it wasn't cheap, but it's okay.
Based on the reviews, I wanted to buy this product, but I have a huge question: how do I choose the right shade? There seem to be some odd undertones...
The entire Time Wise series is amazing... but this foundation occupies a special place among other products... Its uniqueness lies in its ability to MOISTURIZE the skin, so it sits on the skin PERFECTLY, allowing the face to breathe and providing a natural tone coverage... It does not leave any excess shine on the skin... This is a superb foundation for those with dry skin... It worked wonderfully for me and I wish the same for you too)
The foundation shade is nice and looks very beautiful on the face. However, it caused an allergic reaction all over my face, resulting in red rashes and itchiness.
Perfect.
The choice of foundation is a very personal matter, but I have tried many different ones and suddenly a friend recommended this one to me - so I ordered it. At first, I absolutely didn't like it and it just sat in my makeup bag, but then when my usual foundation unexpectedly ran out, I decided to give this one a second chance.
You have to UNDERSTAND how it behaves, you need to apply it sparingly and quickly with your fingers, as if tapping it into the skin, and then it sets perfectly.
It doesn't clog pores, doesn't create a mask-like effect, you can apply it in two thin layers and it will be fine. And it almost feels like you're not wearing any foundation at all. With this foundation, I don't even use a highlighter because it gives a natural glow, especially if applied on an aloe base or with a damp sponge. The only downside is that you still need to use concealer to cover specific "imperfections" because it doesn't really camouflage them, but the texture is light, weightless, and truly adapts to the skin tone - I don't know how this magic works at all!
A matte foundation for oily or combination skin, simply a lifesaver. I have been using it repeatedly and I am extremely satisfied. Throughout the day, my skin doesn't shine, even with +42 degrees heat outside. I highly recommend it for those with oily or combination skin.
It caused a terrible allergic reaction with throat swelling, rash, and itching on my face. It's been three days now and my skin is peeling. I've never experienced anything like this with any other foundation.
This is the worst foundation I have ever bought. I like to try new foundations from time to time. I've tried different ones, including affordable ones. But this one was a huge disappointment. I didn't buy it online, I bought it from a consultant, and despite carefully choosing the shade, the cream's texture itself is bad. I have combination skin. If I apply a thin layer, it doesn't cover redness, pimples, or dark circles, but it emphasizes dry patches. Even using a moisturizing base under the makeup doesn't help. And applying a thicker layer is absolutely not recommended, as it becomes like a clay mask, even if you slightly overdo the amount. It doesn't adapt to the skin tone as the manufacturer claims. It accentuates pores and just sinks into them immediately. If you have very oily skin, this cream might perform differently, but I'm not sure about that...
This product is absolutely perfect for dry skin. It is an excellent solution that smoothly adapts to the skin without feeling heavy or greasy. You don't need to apply a primer or face cream because its texture is specially designed for dry skin.
I have been using this foundation for about 20 years. Everything was wonderful - silky texture, matte powdery finish. I applied it with a damp sponge. Now they have changed the formula and the result is not the same. When applied with a dry sponge, the coverage is not dense and it doesn't mask well. The finish is not powdery. After half a day, it absorbs completely and there is no foundation on my face. I tried applying it again on top later in the day and by the evening, it had absorbed again. When applied with my fingers, the coverage is denser and it masks well, but the finish is not matte or powdery. It clogs pores and makes all the dry patches on my face visible (there are no dry patches on my clean face). The cream is visible on my face. When washing my hands, it takes 3-4 tries to remove it completely, but it doesn't come off at all from the sponge, whether it's a new one or an old one. It blends better with a damp sponge, but more product is needed as it absorbs into the sponge. The overall effect is the same. By the way, the new sponge is larger, thinner, and less dense. The color matches are as follows: Beige 3 is equivalent to Ivory N 140; Beige 4 is equivalent to Beige N 150.
