Mattifying Fluid for Oily & Combination Skin Weleda Naturally Clear Mattierendes Fluid

A friend gifted me this product. It has a very unpleasant smell of bitter herbs, and after applying it, my face turned red and started to sting. I applied it in the evening, and my face was still red in the morning. Although I quickly washed it off, I felt discomfort. It seems that some component in it didn't suit me.

This cream is not easily penetrable by the batch code!

I have oily, problematic skin, and in the summer, shine appears half an hour after washing my face. I have tried all the products from Weleda Naturally Clear line: the cleansing gel suited me perfectly; the fluid controls shine quite well; the spot treatment only dries out small and occasional breakouts; the concealer has a weak coverage, there are better options available.

Now, about the fluid itself.

Scent: It smells the same as the other products in this line, with a slight alcohol scent at first, but it quickly dissipates.

Application: I take a pea-sized amount of the cream and apply it only to my T-zone, often on damp skin after washing my face, as it spreads better that way.

Effect: It doesn't feel heavy on the skin, there is no film-like effect, the skin feels pleasant to the touch and matte. The effect lasts for 2-3 hours (which is good for me). After about 15 minutes of applying the fluid, I apply Avene BB cream - it doesn't cause any rolling. Only once, it started to roll on my cheeks, but that was because I applied more cream than necessary.

Regarding the effect, it's important to note that I use the fluid after washing my face with the Weleda gel from the same series. And this gel is the only one from all the dermatological brands that makes my skin less oily. I would say that the mattifying fluid simply extends the effect of this incredible gel.

Would I buy it again? Maybe, because it's Weleda, and with my problematic skin, I'm not ready to experiment with Korean cosmetics (maybe the mattifying effect would last longer there). It's definitely not worse than other mattifying creams from dermatological brands.

I really liked it. It mattifies well and you only need a very small amount. However, there is one drawback - I cannot apply BB cream on top of it. I read that many people have encountered a similar problem. Using a primer solves this issue, but still not perfectly, so I deducted one star. It is best to use it on "weekend" skin days when you are not using foundation.

This is simply the WORST cream out of all the ones I've ever had. It has an immediate strong smell of alcohol and it tightens the skin a lot (even though my skin is oily and I never had this problem before). And it leaves a film on the face. It's impossible to apply foundation on top of it. It looks as if you glued your face and then applied foundation on top. Even when I tried to remove the makeup with hydrophilic oil, the products didn't dissolve and instead formed clumps, like I was doing a mask-roller! In short, I should have believed the negative reviews.

I have oily skin and I buy this fluid for the summer. I really like how quickly it absorbs into my skin. Following the representative's advice, I started applying it to slightly damp skin or on thermal water, and it applies perfectly. After some time, I can also apply powder without it rolling off.

I don't understand why it rolls off for many people. Apply less and use it with a toner or serum, that way you'll get more hydration, as the fluid itself doesn't provide much moisture. The scent is definitely alarming, but it dissipates over time, although it might cause problems for those sensitive to smells.

I did not purchase it here. The cream is quite expensive and it does not provide any benefits. It does not moisturize nor heal, and it tends to peel off completely. As for the spot treatment of this series, I cannot say anything about it as it does not really have any effect. However, the facial cleanser is not bad.

I really like the fluid. I didn't notice any pore tightening, but it mattifies wonderfully. It suits my combination skin well during warm seasons, and I have no complaints.
