Cotton swabs have become an indispensable necessity in regular body care, something we can no longer do without. Despite their simple and straightforward design, they can be used not only for cleaning the ear canals (which should be done with great care) and the nose, but also for the precise application of special cosmetic products, for makeup and manicure corrections, and for treating wounds and cuts. Since these products are used for personal hygiene, it is important to prefer those made from natural, high-quality materials.
The cotton swabs of the French brand Bocoton are packaged in a practical box. A set of 200 pieces will last for a long time. The main difference of these tools from others is that the head is made from environmentally friendly cotton, and the stem is made from dense cardboard, making them fully biodegradable. The swabs absorb moisture within seconds, and the cotton is wound so tightly that it does not unravel.

These are used for gentle cleaning of ear surfaces. The sticks can also be used to apply cream to blemishes and other skin imperfections.
These cotton swabs are good, the cotton doesn't stick out. It's convenient for me to remove mascara that accidentally gets on my eyelid. This is my second time purchasing them. The packaging is not entirely convenient, but since I transfer them in small portions to another container in the bathroom, it's manageable. If they are using biodegradable plastic, they could have made the entire packaging from it and included a larger note about the plastic composition.
I agree with the comments about the plastic packaging. It's really confusing. However, the sticks themselves are excellent. Before, I used to clean the plastic sticks after use and collect them to recycle. Now I can throw them away with a clear conscience. But I need to find ones that come in biodegradable packaging.
I didn't really like the France Bocoton product. The packaging on top is made of plastic, but it is very thick, while the bottom is made of flimsy cardboard and the sticks are randomly scattered. The best option is definitely the Turkey Organic brand, which costs 150 UAH and comes in a cardboard packaging with 1% polyethylene on top, without any plastic. However, the Spain Masmi brand is twice as cheap... I will never buy plastic sticks again!
The chopsticks themselves are great. However, what's the point of making an eco-friendly product and packaging it in plastic?
I deducted one star because the packaging is not as depicted in the photo and is covered with a plastic lid(!). I will never understand why eco-friendly cotton swabs are sold in non-eco-friendly packaging.
