Maurer & Wirtz 4711 Acqua Colonia Saffron & Iris Eau de Cologne

I don't smell any cosmetics or powder in this fragrance. The lilac note, however, is overpoweringly powdery. On the other hand, the iris note is fresh, crisp, very delicate, and pleasant. I won't be buying it, but it is quite decent and interesting.

I bought the 50ml size. It was delivered to the EU. I really enjoy this series of colognes. There wasn't an iris scent before, but now there is. It came in a beautiful box, with protective packaging, everything was very nice. Personally, I liked the smell, it was pleasant, but the perception of scents is subjective.

As soon as I received it, I was disappointed: dusty, stuffy, and unclear. But after letting it sit and giving it a try, it improved every day. Now, I am enjoying it. It is very unique, delicate, and interesting!

This product has a delicate and subtle powdery scent with a refreshing hint of saffron. It doesn't last long on the skin, but it can linger on fabric for a longer period of time.

I ordered the peach cologne from the same series. I liked this one less: the smell is very specific and spicy. It initially smells like old cosmetics, a heavy powdery scent. After a while, it becomes slightly fresher and more floral, but still not everyone's cup of tea. It's a shame that there is no miniature size available.
